Clueless non-cook would appreciate help with kitchen planning

I have been reading this forum for five years
and now would like to appeal for help. I have hopefully done all my homework
and studied Buehl’s very helpful “read me first” posting, so will try very hard
to address everything.

I’m in the middle of a pay-as-I-go, so-far-5-year-long whole house renovation, but I’m not a cook, chef, or gourmand, and I’m stuck
and don’t know what to do next. I’ve had a 20-foot -long load-bearing wall
removed to maximize light and to improve sight lines.

Here's the original wall, view from the fireplace:

And here is the current state:

The removal of the long wall meant that the
double ovens and the refrigerator needed to be relocated, and I decided to move
these to where the pantry was. The current half-wall
is there until I remove the remaining existing cabinets; then it will come out
as well.

Here is the floor plan of this end of
the house.

Here are some photos. The remaining half-wall will be removed when the remaining cabinets are taken out.

The current cabinets are in bad shape and not
very functional, so all existing cabinets will be removed. The cabinets in the breakfast area are too low- all desk
height - and there are few drawers. So I had a cabinet maker come do measurements and
draw up a plan, but now I’m stuck – I have no idea if I am making good
decisions or gross errors!

Here is the proposed overall layout from the cabinet maker.

Gosh
this is a long posting! I really hope that someone can help me with this
project, and deeply appreciate the time that everyone spends on this forum.
Thank you for reading all this.
