Thoughts: large porcelain tile with Schlüter accent?

Picture this :)

Slab cabinets in KM Swiss Coffee.

Caesarstone countertops in polished Pebble.

Now I need your help with the rest.

At the top is a lighter grey porcelain 12" x 24" tile. The distance between the top cabinets and countertop is 18", so the lady at the story suggested stacking full tiles above half tiles (cut lengthwise) with 1/2 inch satin nickel Schlüter in between. Hand drawing below. Schluter in bold running parallel to the countertop. Vertical lines would be 1/16" grout in light grey.

Thoughts?

I was originally going to have the full backsplash match the quartz countertops, but she said having contrast would be better and the Schlüter would add a modern touch. I've been aiming for Scandinavian all along.

[The light grey porcelain tile would also likely be used for the fireplace surround & hearth and shower tiles.]
