I think we have the 'D' shape, in a 30'' cabinet, for the clean-up sink. Really like it! There were plenty of moments of self-questioning and I was very worried about not having the faucet centered (the sink is centered on a bank of three windows) but we are very pleased with how it turned out. For the faucet we selected, we actually ended up cutting into the cabinet on the right, so the control valve could be installed and we also pulled the sink as far forward as possible. Just cleaned the sink the first time in a month or so since it was installed; used baking soda and it cleaned up fairly well. But... will look for something I can spray on. Guess posting pictures is like entertaining.... one way to get the cleaning done :) From Recently Updated Side note -- I love, love, LOVE the faucet (Kohler Karbon). It's such fun to use and so handy. I'm rather cranky I didn't use the same one for the prep area (what do you mean I have to pull down?!!). The single motion to adjust and keep the spray exactly where you want it is so natural.

Not enough contrast. The gray would have to be warm (more beige rather than gray) for BOTH cabinets AND back splash. A soft white is stunning against the HEAVY MOVEMENT of Fantasy Brown. I don't think your wife can appreciate the heavy impact that stone will have. You do NOT need any more "colour" in this space. The counters and the floors have PLENTY. Remember the K.I.S.S. rule: Keep It Simple Sally. Less is more in design.

18w pantry, 30” French door fridge, base 24”(maybe will use for microwave, gap for microwave, 30” sink, 24”, 38” lazy sue. Upper: 18” pantry, 30” French fridge, 42”(24 double door, 18 single). On right side of window: 30” double door. Corner cabinet 27”. Any glass doors? I’m thinking of a coffee station next to fridge? Maybe glass door for cute tea cups and mugs?

I would not paint the cabinets. I would 100% change the backsplash and counters. If you paint the cabinets, would you be leaving the backsplash and counters as is? Because the backsplash and counters are a bit dated, and dark, while the wood cabinets are timeless. If you paint the cabinets white, you run the risk, with the white columns, of having the area looking like a hospital receptionist area.
