Can you use a touchless faucet with the Kohler Stages
Comments (0)I am all set to get my Kohler Stages 33 for my prep sink. Originally I was going to have the Karbon faucet, but decided I really want a touchless or hands free. (Could be due to fact the Karbon I want now costs more than the sink. Ouch). I was wondering if having a touchless faucet would be an issue with using the cutting board on the sink. I don't want to be turning the faucet on while chopping. Nightmare. I guess worst case I could use a regular faucet with a tapmaster. But the tapmaster ads significant cost....See MoreMotion Sense/Touchless Faucet
Comments (6)We've had a Kohler Sensate for around four years and, while I'm still about 1% nervous, I like it a lot and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. The tap does have to be in the on position for the hands-free to work, but it shuts itself off after two minutes (I think) if it's still running then. I know that works because if I'm washing lettuce or other things that take awhile it'll shut off. I vaguely remember that I woke up one night and heard the water on and went to shut it off, but honestly I could be remembering a dream, as that's never happened since. The blade spray is excellent, and I like that the shape is easy to wipe clean. With any of these, I'd follow the recommendation often made here to mount the faucet with the handle in the middle instead of on the right--equally useful for right- and left-handers, and all drips from your hand fall into the sink instead of onto the counter....See MoreTouch/touchless bridge faucet
Comments (1)I haven't seen one. But see if a Tapmaster would work for you. It's a mechanical foot pedal control that works with any faucet. They don't pay me. I just love them. :P...See MoreTouch/touchless faucet vs manual
Comments (10)WE LOVE OUR TAPMASTER!!! You change the water temperature the same way you always do — using the handles. The Tapmaster will release the water at the temperature and pressure set by the handle(s). So, it’s not that you never touch the faucet, but you don’t have to touch it if you can work with the setting it is on. It is so easy to stop the water while scrubbing dishes or veggies so water is not just flowing down the drain while you scrub (you just shift your foot slightly). And, when washing raw chicken hands, the faucet stays clean. My hubby thought I was crazy and now he raves about it....See Moreloobab
