A co-worker in Long Beach told me that she received a notice from the City of Long Beach that if people did not mow their yards they would be subject to fines. Comments (18)Thank you jrb I had a wonderful day!. Yesterday I baked my carrot cake and today shamelessly I ate three pieces. One piece even had gluten-free ice cream on it which I can tolerate. yum. We had to do a few errands Like I had to drop dogs off and pick another dog up for overnight pet sitting. Of course that means I did lots of dog walking which is a favourite activity. 3 years agoMy daughter, who is working from home here, adopted a new kitten. Our Sunshine so far thinks the idea blows, but has contained her displeasure to grumbling, growling and an occasional hiss if the adorable Luna comes too close.

3 years agoSummer, is that your dog? I love German Shepherds. Michele, is that Sunshine or Luna? Either way, beautiful kitty.
I took this yesterday from a distance and through a window. Happy it turned out as well as it did because I was excited to see Indigo Buntings after an absence of 19 years!

She's so weird, she loves being out on the balcony when it has snow on it, freezing cold, yet I still find this lump in my bed every evening.
