In case Jenn gets notifications on this thread, I have a similar problem. I wanted to use sconces but think there is not enough room so I think we might need to use a bathroom bar. How is the lighting you are receiving from the lighting? Are the shadows impossible? Troubling? Minimal? Thanks...should you see this.

A 40 inch pathway seems tight to maneuver a rollator or wheelchair in a turn to access the toilet or the shower, but if either your designer or contractor has universal design experience, then perhaps they can make some suggestions about facilitating safe and easy movement in the space.

When I was researching this topic, I read that top lights created unwanted shadows on your face so side lights were preferable. I have a bathroom w/ top lights and one with side lights and don’t see much of a difference. I placed them the way I did b/c of spacing, no other reason. I also have magnifying lighted makeup mirror on the vanity counter.
