TwinsMom in OH and Everyone-Diesel?
Comments (4)Diesel engines do last longer... some people have several hundreds thousand miles on them without a problem. They do cost a little more in upkeep... Biodiesel is a good idea, but you can't use it full strength and its very expensive. I'm looking for a diesel truck right now too. I don't like the newer Fords as much--they're not as powerful as the older ones for one thing. I don't know much about the 01 year but I think they were still 7.3 then?? Thats better than the newer 6.0... I'd buy a diesel truck before buying a gas!! even it was older and had many more miles on it....See MoreWhere, oh where, IS everyone?
Comments (9)No.. sad to say I haven't driven the 25 miles to go get any of my "old" fish. I have just the one that I couldn't find last fall. Might be cheaper to go to the local pond store and buy a couple of new ones. Many plants are still in pots, but I have this week off so I've been extremely busy hacking out the over-whelming bittersweet, sumac, grape vines, raspberry bushes and assorted weeds to make room for the plants. The weather has been so beautiful this week. We have the pool open (last year it was not open) so it is so much fun to work on the weeds, jump in the pool to cool off, then get back to work. LOVE IT!!!! Then I make a martini and go sit by the pond and feed my one lonely fish. I can get so lost in time just sitting there. It's not big, but it provides whatever my soul needs to re-charge. Only found one tick today and that was still mobile, so I brushed it off and got out of the area. I'll check carefully tonight to make sure none have anchored themselves to my cushy body!!! hahahaha they have plenty of space to do that. I will hate to see vacation come to an end on Monday. I am "practicing for retirement"!!!!...See MoreAny experience with Florentina Kordes climbing rose?
Comments (86)I have a question..I'm leaning towards Florentina. I have a block wall(6' high) and on one side of an entrance over which I have a sort of trellis.. I have Sombreuil and was thinking of Florentina on the other side. The wall faces north west..so gets plenty of sun in the afternoon..would Florentina be OK in this location? Morning shade. Sombreuil is positively thriving. In fact huge!! Sombreuil has covered the trellis and heading off in the other direction along the wall..I removed the 2nd Sombreuil from the other side of the entrance so she wouldn't cover my garage!! I i live in Oregon in zone 7. I moved the other Sombreuil in early summer and she is taking off in spite of our 100 degree heat wave!! Any one wants a gung ho rose Sombrueil is it!! Does need dead heading to keep blooming though....See MoreWhy isn't my Florentina blooming?
Comments (7)My Florentina finally has some buds. I was ok with wairing until next year to see blooms so this is a nice surprise . She has a ton of foliage and I'm not sure how to deal with all the branches that are no where near the trellis....See MoreVaporvac Z6-OhioRiverValley
