Hmm I didn't know that about snow. Low is 30 on Saturday so it will be cold but not THAT cold. I was at walmart last night and checked out their plants. Broc and Cauli plants are only 1.69 each so that will be my back up. I guess I will give my own plants a week or so more. My cauli and broc are just so little still and aren't growing much. I guess I could always try again for fall with seeds. My tomatoes are starting to look great. Thicker stems, lots of leaves. They should be good to transplant by first weekend in May or last weekend in April. So that makes me happy. :)

Kevin Are you thinking that mine is not swamp milkweed for some reason? It was labeled as swamp milkweed from a local nursery that I find to be very reliable and it has bloomed and the blooms look just like swamp milkweed images I have looked up online. Just curious since you seemed skeptical. Thanks for the feedback on the size. That's very helpful!

It could also be a nutritional thing too. I had a plant that had yellow leaves, green veins, and although everything around it was nice and green, I put some organic fertilizer around it and some coffee grounds--it's starting to green up. Might be worth a try to put in some compost or a little organic fertilizer just to keep your other plants healthy.

Hi Mary, Hope this finds you doing well and that you had a very good growing season. These seeds did really well. They have been in flower for the past three months. I've never had a milkweed bloom so much. The first batch never did germinate. I have had tons of insect visits during this time but only two small pods that have not really developed much. I had three Monarch caterpillars on the plants and they pretty much stripped(ate) most of the foliage but the plants put out more leaves after the caterpillars molted.. I still have them in a 12" pot but will probably divide them once they stop flowering and plant them in the garden. I was wondering how your seed production has been this year? I would like to get a bunch of seed from somewhere to grow and distribute to all the folks here in my area who are into this like you and I. Any chance you might have some to share again or know someone who does and/or somewhere I can purchase some. Thanks for any help. Regards, Mark
