Remove wall in J & J bathroom?

We are going to renovate the girl’s Jack n’ Jill bathroom. Both bedrooms have doors that lead directly into the room with the 1 sink vanity. There is a 3rd door that leads from the vanity room into the room with the toilet and shower. When we moved in, we removed this 3rd door because they all banged together when open. Consequently, never did we have one showering while the other was using the vanity.

With the renovation, we have 2 options: 1) Put in a pocket door between the vanity room and toilet/shower room. 2) Remove the wall between the toilet and vanity, to open things up. I’m leaning toward #2, but this is not our forever home, so I would like to consider resale.

When we first moved in, I thought this bathroom should have 2 sinks. However, the girls have convinced me that the counter space is far more valuable than separate sinks would be.

This picture is close to what we have. What are your thoughts?
