Have you noticed - Changes in Sam's Club

Two weeks ago, I was in a Sams's Club store and they were re-arranging the entire sales floor. They were dedicating the back 1/5 of the store to liquor. I thought, what's this? Now, we are in the midst of a lock-down and social avoidance and those supersized bottles of liquor are flying off the shelves. Last week, they did run out of toilet paper, but not booze.

I buy meat and cat litter at Sam's, but I hadn't noticed the liquor. I guess because I don't drink. I knew they sold wine and beer..but don't know if the ones here sell liquor. I will check it out next time I go. ( I may want to take up drinking.)

Our liquor stores have longer shopping hours now. I figure AA is going to be really busy when this is all over.

Our Sam's club recently rearranged as well. We already had a large liquor area, but they put in huge walk in cooler where they're stocking the fruits & veges. No more of the wall coolers.

It looked a whole lot like Costco.

I also just purchased the "morgan" set tonight. I have been looking at it for months. And actually the couch I got on clearance, it was $100 less than normal because it is the floor model. Let me say, given the color, if its the couch that has been there since they displayed it(many months ago), it has held up just like new. There are a couple of marks, took damp washcloth and patted them AWAY! Rarely do they if ever sell the floor model until they are all gone. Of course, the true test will be time in my house. I have girls and they are pretty neat, so I think it will be OK. I looked everywhere for a review or another person that has purchased it and this is the first time I have seen anything. Thanks! On a side note about the fabric. The woman I work for has a microfiber couch that is the same color, not well taken care of, (they have a great dane that has full use of it) and I took some mild cleaner on a cloth the other day and worked in a circular motion,it took the black (dirt) back to almost the original color. Now I did not work too hard at it, but was encouraged and is mainly what made me go with this set. I hope yours enjoy yours and I know that I asked what if I am not happy with how it holds up, and at my sams they said bring it back no matter what, 1 day or 1 year, it did not matter. Just bring it back. Thats impressive!

Pretty hard to see how anyone could possibly help with nothing to go on except the name of the national chain where you bought them. Without wishing to seem overly critical, why did you buy unnamed, unidentified azaleas at $20 each in the first place? Yet another reason to patronize independent garden centers and nurseries rather than the big box stores.

In MN the snow season started 2 weeks ago so a snow tire commercial wouldn't be out of place. And for years now, retailers have started putting out Christmas stuff right around Labor Day. That started about 15 years ago when the economy was going to pot and retailers wanted to get the Xmas bucks while people still had money to spend. Strange to see but it worked so now it's the norm. Kind of chuckled to see this post. Bought some battery powered Xmas lights at Dollar Tree over the weekend.

marilyn, I may HAVE to take up drinking if this doesn't end soon! HA! I don't think they sell hard liquor here at Sam's. They are restricting PA residence from being able to buy hard liquor in Ohio. Apparently PA has closed their liquor stores as non-essential and everyone was driving here to buy. Liquor, like beer and wine is still available in their stores though, just not the hard stuff.

Haven't noticed any of those changes...the deli section was really, really

stocked more than usual. No diet coke on the floor, but they said it just

hadn't been brought in yet and offered to go get some.

I only shop on line at Sam's Club. Most everything is out of stock.

They have also redone our Sam's but the liquor area didn't change. They added two walk-in coolers...one for dairy and one for produce. We were there yesterday and they were well stocked, including lots of TP in the 45-roll packages.

DH shopped Costco last week. Narrow entrance with two lines -- one for first responders. One-way in and out of Dairy and Produce sections. Spacing as customers stood in checkout lines. Entire staff in masks. DH was instructed to lay his CC on the scanner and pick it up after it registered so the checker didn't have to touch it. There was zero fruit. There was plenty of TP. Choice steak was $7.89/lb. (I see dairy farmers are selling cows due to milk product sales dropping 50%.)
