Can I plant these Azaleas from Sam's Club?

Right before Mothers Day, I bought some potted azaleas from SAMs Club. After I got them home I noticed that there was no ID as to what kind,of azaleas they were so I have no idea what I have and how cold hardy they are. Does anyone know what these are? Can I plant them and expect them to live or are they something that was supposed to look nice for Mothers Day and I wasted $20 apiece on trash? I'm in zone 6.

Pretty hard to see how anyone could possibly help with nothing to go on except the name of the national chain where you bought them. Without wishing to seem overly critical, why did you buy unnamed, unidentified azaleas at $20 each in the first place? Yet another reason to patronize independent garden centers and nurseries rather than the big box stores.

Good to hear the Redbud made it. They are such a popular tree down in Kansas where my sister lives. Very pretty when they are in bloom. I might have to give it some thought about trying one.

Hi Anne_in_SF, I have seen your comments in various websites regarding stainless cookware recommendations and would like your advice on a few I'm considering. Member's Mark Tri-Ply, Costco's 5-ply by Kirkland (I don't think it's tri-ply or 5-ply up the sides) and another set from Costco, the Sitram Profisserie set. I'm moving away from Calphalon hard anodized to stainless and don't want to pay for All-clad or Demeyere. What are your thoughts if you're familiar with these sets? In terms of aesthetics, I like the look of the Kirklands set the best, but I'm looking for quality of materials and cooking performance, I cook a LOT.

danibes, thanks for sharing to warn others! I know when I read reviews on a [articular stereo and thought I would be so happy, I was so disappointed that it was flimsy, cheap and would not work. Some sites must limit any bad reviews which to me is fraud! If they allow good reviews, they should allow ALL review.

Well I am one who wouldn't miss any of these admission-charging stores. I had a membership for several years but quit. Just didn't make sense. Could get better deals elsewhere and not go through the hassles. It just plain irritates me to have to PAY the place to walk in there, then if you buy something you stand in line for 45 min, then have to walk 10 feet and check out again to leave! Gotta give old Sam Walton credit though, he cashed in on people's greed and stupidity. People will complain about non-union and everything with a pocket full of Walmart reciepts! Tell them they're getting a deal and you can charge them anything. Some believe they actually NEED a 5 gallon pail of peanut butter on the shelf! And you don't even have to give them a bag or help them carry it out! He definitely changed retail. Not for the "good", in my opinion, but he definitely changed it forever. (shaking head in disbelief...)
