Love harry Bosch! But don't have Amazon Prime. Drat!

Yes! We have the last bit of Blue Murder to wrap up this afternoon, then it's on to see how much of this Connelly mystery we recognize. DH and I think that Titus Welliver is perfect in his portrayal of Bosch. (Makes you wonder how many other 'character actors' we could have enjoyed performing, had they, not some established 'star' been cast in title roles.)

I believe this is the last season that will be produced for Amazon Prime. I've enjoyed the first 5 very much and we're just rewatching Season 5 so it'll be a week before we get to the new one.

I've been a big fan of Connelly and his books for the last 20 years. I've met and spoken with him twice at book presentations (the key was to show up an hour early and chat when he finished his set up). He's a very friendly guy and is more than modest about the success he's had as an author. I was born and raised in LA and lived there until my early 20s and have continued to visit regularly because of friends and family. The scenes and places depicted, whether in books or on the screen, are usually familiar and serve each time as a visit to my home town.

chisue - I totally agree with you that Welliver was an excellent choice in that for once the actor cast in the part mirrors my picture of Bosch when reading the novels. (Unlike Tom Cruise (5'7" tall) vs. Jack Reacher (6'5"). Okay, off my soapbox.)

Too bad I don't have Amazon. Been reading the Harry Bosch books, or rather listening to them in my car.

Bosch will end with Season 7.

Bosch Season 7 has been announced by Amazon with the confirmation of a finish line set for the Titus Welliver-starring modern noir detective show, which launched back in 2014 as one of Amazon’s very first original offerings.

Welliver has done the vocal performances on Connelly's audio books that have been done since the Amazon series started. In that additional way he's become the personification of Harry Bosch.

I agree, he's done a wonderful job in portraying the role. One habit he has, whether it was his idea or something he was directed to do, is that when he's having a difficult conversation or one that bothers him, he turns his glance to the side and stops looking at the person he's having the conversation with. Not a sign of contempt necessarily but certainly a display of attitude.

Michael, thanks for sharing the good news. That's a change from what I read some months ago. I know it's been one of Amazon's more successful productions so maybe they stepped up the bucks to make it happen.

I love his Bosch books. I don't have Amazon Prime and don't need one more additional service.

I would enjoy seeing this series as well as I am a big Connelly fan and especially of the Bosch series. But I already have 3 streaming services and don't see the advantage in adding another just for this.

Will have to make do with the odd Harlan Coben movie/mini series that appear on Netflix :-)

garden girl, we watched Coban's Safe and were very disappointed. Are the other few Coban shows better?

The only good thing about Safe was getting introduced to the French actress Audrey Fleurot who had a minor role. We later enjoyed her in her leading role in A French Village.
