WendyB Do not paint those beautiful cabinets!!!!! Interestingly, they are very similar in color to my cabinets, I also have new Venetian Gold, and a natural hardwood floor. (My rugs are similar in color to yours also! However I will need new ones soon. Where did you find yours?) I love the look of the countertop with the cabinets. I do not have a tile backsplash, but when I was considering one I looked at a white crackle tile. (Not stark white, more of a biscuit. It was a 6" square but I have also seen it in a subway tile) I think it would have looked beautiful. I didn't do it because of the way my kitchen is laid out. There's only one section where I could have had the tile backsplash installed. I thought if I had put the tile backsplash in that one section, it would have made the other places where there are cabinets and countertops look unfinished. My kitchen is painted "blonde," from Sherman Williams/Duron. Restrained Gold is the color below blonde (darker) on the paint swatch, and that would look very nice also. You could also go with a milky coffee color (beige like), darker than the current color your walls appear to be currently. I preferred to pull out the gold in the countertop and compliment the red hues in my cherry cabinets. I think your kitchen looks beautiful.

Oh my gosh! I'm reading all of your posts right now to my Hubby so he'll know I'm NOT the only one who can't make a decision on a backsplash! LOL I have the white Alaska granite countertops as well. It has been well over a year and I still can't decide! And although I do love them, it's such a hard decision to match them with a BS! I'm so happy I came across all of your posts. I know your struggles! However, hopefully, by now you have found the perfect backsplash for your kitchen countertops! Please post pictures if you have time. I’m getting use to it. It’s definitely a white our shock for sure. I feel that it’s very chalky and stark . I also don’t like the finish. It looks matte even though it’s satin. Maybe it’s the cheap paint. If I were to do it over I would look at Sherman Williams pure white in emerald cabinet paint. It definitely is a breath of fresh air walking in. I do not regret the flip only hiring the wrong painter. Maybe if I saw the paint chantilly in BM advance it may look different. You have to sample colors in exact paint u are using. Please! the cabs are not oak. I can tell by looking at the wood. show me a better pic of the cabs Here's why you don't want to leave the 4" piece. same granite as yours. (you could do a darker color if you like. a charcoal color tile would actually look very nice w/your granite and the wood) for example, any ONE of these colors (not a mixture of all five!) would work w/your granite) give me a better pic showing countertop with the upper cabs in the pic. I can give you tile possiblities if you'd like. here's a quick one. Bedrosians Zenis 2x6 in Solar: removing the 4" backsplash is easy, score, gently pry. lots of how to videos when you tile, you'll get this look next to the granite top. BTW, this is a natural cherry cab w/a similar granite as yours. pretty w/warmer white tile, new hardware, and think about adding some glass to a few of your uppers. since you have taller upper doors, I'd pick a nice pull and not a knob. something like this would be perfect. you can do any finish you like. these gold handles would look very pretty w/the Bedrosains tile I posted above. same granite, 3x6 tile. (I prefer a longer tile like a 2x8, 2x10, or a 3x9) Botticino tumbled marble, very common tile w/this granite. take the one off the side if you can. if you dont' remove it, you'll get this look: someone mentioned lighting. this is why you don't want warm lights. makes everything look to gold/yellow. go 3500-4000K some neutral paint colors that work w/your granite
