Thanks so much! Valinsv, I had thought about doing Roman shades, and I think that would look great, but...I'm afraid the hardware/mounting wouldn't stand up to the raising and lowering of the shades. I think my fastest/cheapest/most sturdy bet is to hang them flat, like Palimpsest suggested. Les, I would love to add casings, but that would be low, low, low down on the list. After the fence, gutters, other misc. repairs, etc. These particular windows weren't installed properly. They don't open and close like they should, and they're drafty. We're going to caulk around them as best we can until we get to the point where we can replace them. If I had my way, we'd replace the whole bay altogether and turn it into a traditiona, flat window, but I imagine that's cost prohibitive. That room originally was the garage, so I have no idea what, if any insulation is in the walls. Adding insulation is also on the to-do list.

1st I would paint the blue wall in the DR the same color as the other walls. In DR I would hang panels on each window. Hang the rod 1/3 of the way down between the ceiling & window top. In the LR treat the 3 windows as one although I see that may be problem due to the TV placement. The panels should be wide enough to cover all 3 windows

I like the table you have in the graphic- kind of breaks up the space in a nice way. And would also be handy to use from the laundry or the fridge side. Considering the utilitarian nature of the room, you might want to keep it fairly simple with blinds or shades rather than using curtains. Keep the ceiling basic with a white tone. Depending on what kind of crafting you do, you might want that room to be as basic white as possible so you aren't throwing color on your projects. You might want/need to bump up your lighting too.
