Need help completing dining room
Comments (5)I would remove the tablecloth, buffet runner and candle lanterns and find a beautiful painting to go over the buffet that would evoke the feeling of being at the coast. You have some lovely pieces. Don't cover them up....See Morewhat’s missing in this picture
Comments (33)I agree with Beverly about the mirror size--first thing that stood out to me. Also a definite yes on changing the "candle" color from ochre to ivory. A lovely room, the fireplace is stunning. I'd go with the large tufted ottoman instead of a coffee table--because your pup will be devastated if he can't be lounging right in the middle of all the action :)...See MorePlease help finish dining room
Comments (34)I put a black and white abstract artwork on that wall to provide more contrast and added a chair next to the bar to balance it a bit. I am now playing around with the tablescape. I may incorporate some red in with the silver and gold on the table. I’m also considering adding some peep and stick grass cloth wallpaper behind the abstract art in either light grey or tan or beige/gold. Thoughts?...See MoreIs something missing here in my living room??
Comments (72)Wow, Lucas, what an amazing difference! Your home looks so inviting and functional - the perfect combo! I do love the dining alcove and I predict you will find yourself using It for much more than dining with its location next to that spectacular window wall. Hang some art on those walls and it’s perfection! Thank you Lucas, for inviting us into your home and considering all of the varied advice and opinions and being so gracious about showing us what worked and especially for sharing your adjustments you made based on the advice. The ”before and after” pics are so much fun to see. Your organized and analytical thought process has made for great reading to follow on this thread. Cheers!...See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
