PAINT COLOR HELP FOR EXTERIOR
We have been trying to decide on exterior paint colors for 8 years. It is now CRUNCH TIME. Painters arrive on april 6th and we still can’t decide. Looking for suggestions, inspiration, etc.
we are coastal New England. Rear of house faces the water looking south. Front of house faces street which is north. Our 1905 shingle style house was originally a summer house for Boston family. Since this was a summer area houses are very close together. Most of street reads white, off white, light gray, beige. House to our right is light gray, house to our left is light putty. We have looked at so many houses and colors but we can’t agree . I keep wanting house to stand out from the cool colors in neighborhood. Yellow is out ( he hates it) . There is no good app for showing us how different colors would look on our house. We are all over the board but need to pick this week.

Comments (6)I think you should lean towards a light color, actually a whitish in my opinion. I've attached a site that shows different paint colors on brick homes, it might help you decide. Comments (2)What a cute house!!! My first thought would be to try to relocate the steps to come straight out into the front yard if possible so you can see the front door. I like the color of the house. Maybe lose the shutters since they are not on every window. Landscaping and maybe some flower boxes over the porch railing? Beefy box the posts....See More

4 years agoI like your house in its current color! What is the siding material? I found these pictures where they trimmed out the windows with white that looks nice. I also like the two-tone gray colors. But honestly I think if you added some plants to your porch and a pretty entry door could go a long way in brightening up the house. The gray works!
