Comments (14)Gary - no, the 700 series didn't doesn't have "gills" at all. It's systems are down in the bottom of the unit and are completely covered by cabinetry toekick and / or the bottom drawer panel. It was the first unit to be TOTALLY concealed ( no trim, no fins, no gaskets showing ) and is for the most part unchanged since it's rollout in the LATE 90's !!!! - which is its biggest drawback today....See Morehow to make microwave look built in?
Comments (2)The best way to do it is to get a trim kit. Some manufacturers make trim kits specifically for their model microwaves. Otherwise you can get a custom trim kit from microtrim.com. Comments (4)As far as I know, the only way to have it flush is to have a pretty wide gap on each side to allow the doors to swing open. The fridges I see on this forum that are made to look built in still have the doors sticking out a little. Here's mine.
