Comments (12)Taking the Beach Cities exit from State Hwy 60 to S.H. 91 on March 6, to get back to Westchester: There are many different routes we can take between Palm Springs and our house in L.A. and so we try to take the ones with the least traffic on any particular day. I believe Big Bear mountain is in the background. Yesterday I took this route to return to Cathedral City, and there was still a small amount of snow on the tops of the mountains, but it was 91° when I got to Cathedral City, and so if feels like summer has returned. 6 years agoSeymour and Sidney, 2 little pinkies (a baby squirrel is called a pinky) that I found under our tree. I raised them for a number of months until they were able to be released.
6 years agoSurprise!! A pair of Eastern Bluebirds were checking out my bird house this morning!! I was so excited to see them! They are rare visitors to my backyard!

Stray cat. He showed up and I fed him, and stayed for 2 days, but Farb, the boss cat here, ran him off. I had seen him once before about 2 months ago. He has one blue eye and the other is green. I have a bunch of white cats, and wish he would have stayed. I liked him.
