Hardwiring 2 plug-in pendants to former ceiling fan/light fixture
Comments (6)You should be able to. There are track adaptors which will take a basic cord for a pendant or a plug in. I've linked to the plug in version. Look for EP 814. If you go to the next page, the EP 815 can work as well. You'll just have to cut the actual plug off and wire your fixture directly into the 815. This one is nice since there's a ring to support the weight of the fixture. I don't know if your light has a support cable or not. You obviously don't want it hanging just from the plug with no support. Here is a link that might be useful: Plug in track adaptor...See MoreLighting Questions--Display, Pendant, and Under-Shelf
Comments (5)Lighting placement depends on the interior dimensions of the cabinet and type of shelves (i.e., glass vs. wood). For example, a display cabinet in the kitchen has solid shelves and is wider so led tape lighting was run up the sides, close to the cabinet front, and then across the top to meet in the middle and then exit up from there. For narrower display cabinets in the den, tape was just run up the sides. Short, wider upper cabinets in the dining room have glass shelves and mirrored sides and back. For those, led tape was just run across the top, near the cabinet front. A piece of matching batten molding was installed in front of the light tape to hide it when viewed from the front. Display cabinets in a sitting room are lit by led light fixtures installed at the top. In that situation, it was too difficult to hard wire them to a light switch. There is a switch on the light fixture and the cord is snaked behind the cabinet and plugged in behind a sofa....See MoreNeed help to hang a pendant light
Comments (0)I bought a pendant light from a floor sale, but when we tried to hang it, it seems like some parts are missing. No screws, brackets, whatever. All I got is the canopy as you see in the picture. Is there any way that we can fix the pendant light on the ceiling?...See Morependant lighting
Comments (2)Hi Lisa! We recommend spacing pendants about 2 feet apart over an island, so that depends on the length of your island! Small islands (4 to 5 feet long) can handle 1 large or 2 medium pendants. Large islands (6 feet and longer) can handle 2 large or 3 medium pendants. Using 3 pendants is very pleasing to the eye. Let me know if you have any questions or want to check out some lighting recommendations....See Morehemina
