Comfortable Sectional Sofa
Comments (11)Hi DBug! I have the PB Square upholstered sofa w/ chaise and the PB Comfort upholstered sectional. The Comfort has deeper seating than the Square. If I remember correctly, it's only 5 or so inches deeper but made a difference to us as I wanted a row of continuous pillows to make it extra comfy. You kind of just sink into it. The wedge corner piece on the sectional adds to the comfort. My husband and guests on the taller side notice it is more roomy as well. Your comment about looking into slipcovered sofas reminded me that before I got the pb Square, I bought two of their slipcovers to put over my old sofas and they were great. Slipped a bit but they weren't made for those sofas. Have you seen the pb slipcovered sofas in person? They look nice and I'd bet they're wonderful! Good luck! Obviously I've spent way too much time obsessing over buying sofas so if you have any other questions on fabrics or configurations let me know! Got back on to add that even though their stuff can be expensive, the thing that always makes me go back is their customer service. The wedge's cushion on our newer sectional looked like the fabric wasn't sewn right as it was rather "loose" looking. They replaced it, no problem. I know other places have great service too but I'm a creature of habit and stick with something if I know it's good!...See MoreDecor Ideas for 2nd Room with Sectional Sofa
Comments (2)A large rug would help in gold, red, and brown that would echo your art work. Give the sofa some breathing room by moving it about a foot from the far wall. Think about a long, low console positioned under your eventual TV. Don't get too big a TV because the room is so small. Get nesting tables you can use as side tables or coffee table. To complement the art work that you love, get another art work in those colors about the same size or smaller or with a similar subect. Comments (13)just a few ideas that I'd suggest. a plant in the corner where that little bench is. I posted two diff types, either would work. I gave you a side table w/a lamp on the other end. I like the idea of a pouf in this camel color to warm things up a bit, or do a stool or two placed in front of fireplace. I also like these shelves between the two windows. ( I don't know what furry dog is going to do with these,,,maybe have the toddler stand on his back?? lol. hang them well out of reach and they'll be fine. I'd put a few small plants on them. This will eat up that middle space) You could also take these teak decking tiles and attach a plant/pot onto it, and hang two of these between the transom windows. if you want a bench, do something like this in the wood. all of those neutral gray tones make everything seem very cool. add some wood and some texture to warm it up a bit. over the back of sofa do a cool piece of art don't hang them too high. (your tv is hung too high btw. ) and a rug for the sofa area A jute one would work too for the dining area, you could also do this jute rug like shown. for the wall, I'd do another piece of sizable art to hang on that one wall. This one has a larger wall, but look at the black and white picture. basically the same size of yours. you want something this big. Or, do a shallow buffet or console w/a mirror over it and some greenery, like shown here....See MoreWall colors to suit a caramel/tan leather sectional sofa.
Comments (6)This off topic, but I thought I’d mention it. I have a vintage caramel leather chair from pottery barn that I had near a window. It was a rich creamy caramel colour and the change was so gradual I didn’t notice it until several months later. The light really does a number on leather and areas where the light/sun hit the chair has lightened the leather a lot. Those parts are more a grayish caramel and I wish I’d noticed it sooner. I’ve moved the chair away from the windows but the damage is done. Just a heads up since you said you wanted to put your couch in front of the window....See MoreRelated Professionals
