No Power To My Liftmaster 1/3 HP Garage Door Opener
Comments (8)No light coming on when you push the button is leading me to believe you have a problem in the wiring harness or still possibly a bad board. You can purchase a power tester at local hardware store for a couple bucks. I would get one of these and make sure I still have power coming into the opener at the other end of the power cord. If you pull off the cover the power cord should be coming into the unit on the back right hand side. I would check that to make sure there is power there. If there is I would follow the diagostic diagram the manufacture sent you. If your not comfortable with electricity, I don't recommend you try hardwiring anything. I can't think of any other normal, easy things to check. If I were there I would swap boards to see if anything changed. If you have access to another board of the same kind you can try that. Otherwise I would be on the phone with a tech myself if I could not visibly see anything else wrong. Good luck and let me know what you find....See MoreAdding garage to ranch home
Comments (6)Do you know what your front set back requirements are for your county or your municipality? How about your side set backs? How large is the parcel and the planned garage? Do you want to attach it or have it detached? Do you have a survey that you can post to show easements? What size garage are you planning? I assume you are getting a building permit for the garage. Sorry for all the questions. It helps to have these answers to adequately answer your question. Comments (13)Would you husband be opposed to a tandem garage? With a good architect and builder and of course $$$ you could build on and have a side facing garage. The garage would still fit 4 cars, but just tandem through the new garage into the old garage. They can fill in the current garage door and make it look like it is part of the house and not just a filled in garage door. Remove the old driveway and re-landscape. And your house would not look like all garage....See MoreAdding a garage to house - detached, attached or none?
Comments (14)celerygirl did a nice mockup. you could also turn it so the doors are at 3 o'clock i'm guessing you'll want a double car? maybe you can get an additional room over the garage too. your house is perfect for the garage add-on that will make it look like it's always been there why don't you have an architect draw up some plans for you? you're going to need them...See More- 4 years agolast modified: 4 years ago
