I don't have pretty towels yet, I was waiting to buy a new set until I saw how this turned out. The curly willow I just stuck in there but I will consider other items. I'm not a fan of silk flowers where they can be seen up cloee so perhaps dried. One thing I am ruling out based on practicality is the ring being not over the countertop. The room used to have a bath towel bar mounted over there in the right and there were always drips of water where people reached for the towel. I am looking for a nice large colorful piece if art for that wall the room is long and narrow so it needs something interesting there. If I put the towel on the left it will also disguise the electric outlet there. A warm red towel set is a great idea! Thanks for the feedback!

My one bathroom has 2 fixtures that can take 100 watts each. I stocked up on halogen (72watt?) that are comparable. It is very bright in my 6.5x9' bathroom with light gray/blue walls. Very bright for husbands shaving. Now with the powder room, you wont need that bright. I'd think a couple sconces with lower wattage such as 40 or 60watt equivalent lumination would be fine. How big is your room. You can always put lower wattage bulbs in a fixture. I have dimmers, but find that i seldom use them. I like going into a powder room that isn't like a surgical suite. I like lights to add ambience with twinkle and drama, and a powder room could be a great place for that IMHO.

What kind of dink do you like? Post a photo of it. Perhaps someone can photoshop it into your space. I would remove your current mirror. It is not properly sized for the space. Cut out templates of narrower rectangular, and oval mirrors for that spot and tape them up. Mick up what will please your eye. The window can work, I am sure!

Hi Houzzers- Well I am so happy to have come across a couple pendant lighting options for over the sink and wondering if anyone would care to share an opinion since I'm undecided between them. Really its pendant + wallpaper groupings rather than just pendants choices. The wallpaper will be an accent wall, behind the sink. The color wave of this paper is on top though in real life its lighter and warmer in tone. Bottom to provide scale. I really like the sconce but have slight reservation that the pattern is not enough statement for use on an accent wall? My reservation on this one is that it could maybe be too much "pattern" and the backround is a pretty metallic silver but will that be too much with the etched mercury glass pendant? Would apprceiate any opinions. Maybe this should be a different thread?
