How sad.

Everyone's life has positives and negatives. I've met people who can't cope and get on with their lives following a failed relationship and for whom the harboring of bitterness toward the former mate poisons their lives. I feel sorry for them. I suspect this whimsical program appeals to people like that, because others who have moved on wouldn't care.

Funny and weird, but I bet it raises a good bit if money for the zoo. I have a feeling they are going to have some overly stuffed animals.

I agree it's a clever fundraiser, but not something that appeals to me. There is too much violence already I and would not participate except to make a donation without involving the EX. I say live and let live.

Elmer, not all relationships are easily forgotten or moved on from. Especially in the case of abuse or betrayal. They don't all end because, well, it just didnt work out,so one should just get over it.

I think humor has healing qualities. Those who are able to laugh at sub par past relationships are healthy.

I have seen this sort of thing before. Once I sent a boss I did not care much for, a dozen dead roses in a black box lined with black tissue paper (there was actually a company that did this) , it was very funny.

Well, every living thing's got to eat, so might as well get some humor and fundraising from it.

I do agree with Elmer that harboring hate in your heart is self-destructive, but I think this is meant to inspire laughter!

I think that's clever and funny. There are a couple of people in my past (not exes) that I wouldn't mind feeding to snakes, but I wouldn't want to be responsible for the death of a rat. ;-)

Everyone can be hurt and disappointed by the end of a relationship but those feelings shouldn't last forever. Those with rational and healthy adult attitudes shouldn't need "healing". Someone who's having trouble moving on should speak to a counselor, not a zoo fundraising program worker.
