picture placement above couch
Comments (10)just a couple of inches left would help it look better- don't like the couch squished against the molding either... centering on the molding directly above will be more obvious than across the room-- except if you're sitting directly in the center of the couch. but the distance gives a different perspective depending on where you're standing and it won't look perfectly centered on fireplace from most places in the room anyway......See MoreMirrors Above Sofa or Should I Forget About this Idea?
Comments (42)As someone with a home that also has a lot of big white walls to fill, please do take your time with this. I know it's tempting to just fill the walls with anything. But patience pays off. We've found it helpful to work with a local art gallery. They pick out art they think will work for our space and our budget, and loan it to us so we can "try it on for size" for awhile. Or if you're more creatively inclined check out toats' threads -- and make your own art!...See MorePicture Size above couch
Comments (6)Judging by the painting you've shown those will be really cool pictures. I'm glad you're not afraid of color! The size you show on the wall seems perfect except I would place them slightly further apart. You can use some of the colors in the paintings for pillows and other accessories, and also an area rug if you're planning on one. I love the warm blue of your wall color....See Morelooking for ideas on decor to place above the couch. any ideas?
