MSI Calacatta Laza: Need backsplash and wall color ideas please!!

We are in the process of finishing our new kitchen space and I need some help choosing the backsplash and wall color. The cabinets are (Pearl White) from Omega and the island is a very dark brown (Truffle) also from Omega. We are thinking of choosing the MSI Calacatta Laza for the counters. Pls see photos. The kitchen opens up to a living room and a bar room space. Thanks!!

Probably the green walls are not for you (she loves green!), but the glass mosaic is stunning. Arizona Tile carries it. Once you choose the backsplash, paint will become much easier. Alternatively, use the same stone for the backsplash! It's a super clean, elegant look (might be a little difficult to see in this photo, but we did the backslash in the same stone as the counter).

Need help with Countertop and backsplash

We have a small problem with the hood vent. Our wall is not thick enough to hide the pipe so the contractor had to cut out a section of the drywall (see top right of first picture). Contractor will patchup that section but there will be an angle drywall from the ceiling to the right wall and we do not want to see any of the dry wall modifications that have been made. Right now there is 8 inches from top of the molding to the ceiling. Do you think we should install a 3-4 inch filler between cabinets and crown molding? Or will the filler look weird? Please provide your feedback and recommendations.

Backsplash suggestions for Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold

Have a look at this thread. They used Cloe Tile with Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold. It really looks gorgeous and I've bookmarked it myself for a future project. I agree that mixing the real marble with the Silestone may not work well. But I think you can put some sample boards together for your favourite choices and lean them up against the wall to help you visualize. You can also try different grout colours on your sample boards. The Cloe tile has significant variation and I think that is a plus. The problem of matching the white of your cabinets with the white in the Silestone and another white in your backsplash can be really tough. They are never all going to be the same and if you miss on one of the choices, then something is going to look dingy. But I think the colour variation in the Cloe tile will help with that, pull all the whites and some of the colour from the Silestone together. I'm sure it will be lovely. Please be sure to come back and post photos when you're done as well as work in progress photos.

We will be gutting our kitchen and doing a complete remodel. I’m thinking about using calacatta Laza which is what we used in our hall bathroom remodel. I bought a sample of silver drop behr for the walls in my house and it’s almost a perfect match for the background in the Laza. At least in my lighting. please Ignor the original 1960 countertop. The tile is my flooring. HD didn’t have a paint chip so I made one myself using the extra white chip.

hello @blyhoutz... we ended up choosing 3x12 splendours tile in white. Although it’s called white there is a tint of grey in it... more of like a grey movement. I love it!! It looks slighter darker in these pics...

Also who makes the 3x12 splendours tile in white that you used?

Hello Pauline,

We have chosen Laza. Our cabinets are a natural hickory, but I love your tile. Since you say it comes off a little grey - Do you think this will go with more golden cabinets. Also do you remember what grout you used?
