Big Breakfast Time on Wednesday!
Comments (7)I love a big breakfast but it doesn't happen very often for me unless we go out on a weekend day. I had my overnight oatmeal with fruit. And when I got to work one guy had brought Election Victory Brownies (his wife makes THE BEST brownies!). So of course I had to have one of those with my coffee....See MoreSupper Time on Wednesday!
Comments (11)We had left-overs from Tuesday night available, but I, too, fell asleep early, while reading, and forgot to eat supper. I woke up at 3:00AM, and couldn't go back to sleep for awhile, but I didn't feel like going on a kitchen raid. I got up early this morning and made coffee before my DD left for work--and had a couple of chocolate chip cookies for breakfast. I call them healthy cookies, because I use oats, wheat germ, chia seeds, and whole wheat flour...oh, yeah, and chocolate chips and sugar. ;)...See MoreSupper Time on Wednesday!
Comments (21)lgmd, every once in awhile my husband brings home Mrs. Grass soup, even though I make a great soup. It's funny. It's so salty it makes my lips burn when I taste it, lol. I made tacos tonight, with some pulled beef, homemade salsa, etc. Pretty tasty and a nice change....See MoreSupper Time on Wednesday!
Comments (20)Wednesday was the day for "lunch with the old folks", a once monthly lunch out with 7 friends all a little older than my DH and I. The restaurant we usually go to changed the menu since last month. They took deep fried brussels sprouts off so I was disappointed big time. I ordered a fruit cup ,very good, and a pot roast/toasted cheese sandwich which was very, very good. Then I did the unthinkable and had cocoanut cream pie for dessert. It was so so. Didn't eat anything for supper or even a snack for the rest of the day. This morning I am HUNGRY and ready to rip into breakfast soon as DH gets home from his cardiac rehab class....See MoreMarilyn Sue McClintock
