Between the Titans and the 49ers, you must feel torn, rob. Or, perhaps you have the best of both worlds with two of your teams having a shot at the big prize. If both make it, you'll be on the edge of your seat come Superbowl Sunday! :-)

What's really funny? Son just made it "home" (University). Apparently, they're truly science geeks (which we knew). It's in TN and yet, the common room is occupied with.... drum roll... dungeons and dragons players. BIG grin. You would think if a non Tennessee team was playing a non Tennessee team, ok. But no. A Tennessee University filled with Tennesseans and they're playing D&D

We are Packer fans. I have a young Wisconsinite acquaintance who graduated from college and took a job in the San Francisco area. The Packers Play there tonight. Who's he gonna cheer for? Tough choice.

Sorry Rob...but it is our Kansas City Chiefs who will be advancing to the Super Bowl! If you watched, you will have to admit we have an awesome quarterback! And what makes him better, he is such a good-hearted, kind, humble young man! Now ready to see if we will play the Packers!

Rob...I am not a true football fan (basketball is my game of choice), so it doesn’t make me any difference who we play....but we will know soon.

Then why assume Greenbay would win? But I would back the 49ers from my earlier comment. Be a gracious winner.... unless we're trash talking. That can be fun.

DH has become a Seahawks fan since he retired. I used to consider it to be one of his merits that he did not follow sports. I had a father who monopolized every form of media in the house to follow multiple sports events when I was growing up. It did not occur to him what a hog he was. He slept in his chair during all of it. It leaves you with some issues. Well the Seahawks lost out last weekend. Oh woe. I have been impressed with how much better the playing is since I saw any of it years ago though. He uses headphones so I don't have to listen. The Packers used to do their summer training at my University.

I just love a close scoring game, played by great teams. It's no fun watching a close out, for instance.

One of our sons attended the game in Kansas City today. I think it was 17 degrees at game time!! Silly boy. (Actually he’s 30 years old.). We watched from in front of our fireplace, nice and warm.

The 49ers are lookin' good. Looks like the Packers decided not to show up today. But, I don't count a game as won or lost until it is over. The 49ers have a bad habit of squandering substantial leads. Go 9ers!

I am dreading two weeks of super bowl buildup on TV.

Even though I'm a Packers fan, I always knew it would be the 49ers and Chiefs. I couldn't watch past the first quarter tonight, so embarrassing.

This young 49ers team reminds me of the glory days of Joe Montana and company. I think because many of them are so young, they come across as playful and enthusiastic rather than jaded and cynical. They are a pleasure to watch, and win or lose, I'm really looking forward to watching the Super Bowl this year.

This will be a very good Superbowl. I for one am very glad it's a team other than the Patriots. Very glad the Packers didn't make it. They were way out of their league in that game. Sorry, not a Packer fan.

I agree, Dawn, and Jimmy G isn't hard on the eyes! I would have been equally happy had the Packers won. Pretty sure Mahomes and Company will be hard to beat, but it should be a good game. GO NINERS!!!

After 30 years with a spouse who seemed to think the TV remote was a permanent attachment to his hand and who watched sports almost exclusively (sci-fi was a distant second), I no longer watch any sports shows on TV. I just have no interest and after being force fed them for years, I couldn't care less. I really have no interest in our local teams either (except college...a little) but I do wish them well.

We Chiefs fans are thrilled beyond words that we’re back in the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years! (Though we always want more! We want to WIN!). 🏈🏈🏈

chloebud, I agree that JimmyG is nice to look at. Yesterday, out of curiosity, I googled whether or not he's married. The info that came up basically said that he's still in his 20's, has 100million in the bank and not in any hurry to commit to a serious relationship. Hopefully, he's enjoying this special period in his life; plenty of time for the serious stuff later.

I just saw that the cheapest tickets were over $7,000 each!...and climbing...and a ticket is not the only expensive of going!

I find it sad that the fans who went to the games in all kinds of weather and cheered them on can not begin to afford to go to their last game.

i saw a post from a lady who said she was going and I know darned well she can not afford it! She needs a different vehicle or get her teeth fixed worse than going to this game! Priorities...

Last night after the game, the lines at a local sporting goods store was 2 hours long...,and I thought almost everyone in the state already had a Chief’s jersey. All the lights in KC are burning with red and gold bulbs....which is awesome! It has been a long time coming and couldn’t happen to a nicer quarterback and coach!

Dawn, I agree with JG waiting for the serious stuff. I've seen him interviewed a few times, and he seems really sweet. So does Patrick Mahomes, and what a talented q-back! My brother and SIL live in KC, so we're usually happy when the Royals or Chiefs win...except if they're playing against the Dodgers or Rams!

Encountering too many"fanatics", the source of the word "fan", is what led me to a declining interest in going to live sports about 15 years ago. Around that time, I went to a 49ers game. There were too many people getting into squabbles with people in the parking lot, and then later with folks in neighboring seats when they went in, The Raiders' crowds across the Bay were even more rowdy. Fans at Sharks games were (at the time) a little more controlled but could get rowdy at times. And the sanctioned fighting in hockey is unnecessary and ridiculous to me.

It stopped being fun to follow local teams, so I stopped doing so. I went to a university with a big sports tradition and I stopped following its teams too. Watching a game that interests me on TV, which I do only occasionally, is enough.

Good luck to the teams going to the Super Bowl and hopefully the supporters of those teams and other NFL teams will remember to keep themselves grounded. It's entertainment, not life or death.

Well, I'm bummed that my Seahawks lost out and aren't going to the Super Bowl. I'll be rooting for KC. We have a fun rivalry with the 49ers being another west coast team but I hope KC crushes them.

I love this Hyvee grocery commercial that came out around Thanksgiving where he is passing out dinner rolls and does the no look pass with one of them.

No way, LoneJack! The Seahawks stadium, CenturyLink Stadium, is the loudest in the NFL! Actually I recall the contest between Seattle and KC to see who was the loudest. They tested the decibel level of the noise. And if I remember correctly, Seattle won. ;>)

Our 12's also travel around the country to other stadiums to root on our Seahawks!

About 5 or 6 years ago (not sure when), we went to Seattle to see a US Men's team World Cup qualifying match at Century Link Stadium. I can vouch for how loud it was, uncomfortably so for a spectator (me) interested in just watching the match. Even worse, though, was the "tradition" for all attendees to stand (not sit) during play and the refusal of people in front of me to be seated. The two contributed to an unpleasant experience, Fortunately it's most unlikely there would be any future events there that would attract my interest but even if one comes up, I'll stay home.

But we can still trigger seismic readings of earthquake magnitude, which not many other stadiums or fan bases can boast of. The Sounders do so regularly!!

There is nothing I dislike more than loud sports fans, and when I lived in San Francisco, I hated it when SF won anything like the Super Bowl or World Series (I always get those mixed up). One year they did win, and there were near riots on Market Street from rowdy fans, and I think it was the 49ers who won, but I don't know whether it was world series or super bowl.

I prefer quieter sports like swimming, diving, gymnastics, ice skating, etc. I used to play tennis a lot, but I never enjoyed watching it, and I've never watched golf either, although I guess that would qualify as a quieter sport. I also used to wrestle in college, and I was pretty good at it, and I do enjoy watching Olympic wrestling, as it is easy for me to relate to.

After a Seahawks win, people in my neighborhood shoot off fireworks. I've chatted with friends who live in different areas, and the same thing happens in their neighborhoods.

I escorted a group of Chinese airline customers to the 2018 Seahawks - Dallas game. We had the Boeing suite, complete with catering. I don't typically go to football games. People in the cheap seats stand during the game, and affording a ticket in better seats is a bit pricey. I was a bit surprised by the reaction of these Chinese customers. I thought that they wouldn't be interested or understand what is going on. But they loved it. And they especially loved the Sea Gals. I saw a couple of the customers recording them, particularly when they jumped up and down. They weren't recording their pretty faces, lol.
