Calling All Porcelain or Ceramic Master Bathrooms
Comments (14)Mosaic has choices in that price range. I agree about Houzz to get an idea of your style. if you have an idea of the style you want and the price range, Mosaic should be able to help you. we got modern style porcelain tile in that price range at Mosaic. we used glass tile as an accent and that was much more expensive. we searched all over for the glass we liked at the best price. we got some at home depot. they have many more choices on-line than in the store. you can order one as a sample and return it to the store if you don't like it. and we ordered some on sale at Susan Jablon....See MoreCrown moulding in small bathrooms? Yes or no?
Comments (12)Wow, I would be pleasantly surprised to see that, not disappointed. I think that shows an excellent builder who has the wherewithal to give that type of attention to a small room. I have crown in two of my bathrooms (master bath not yet) and the smallest being 5x8 and we deliberately added it years after it was built. I think after it's all done you will see how moulding adds to the finished look of any room....See MoreYes, No on bathroom mirror
Comments (23)miller88, Thank you for the information on your mirror. It sounds like the one I picture above which has copper showing through the weathered finish at the edges. Yours looks beautiful. brutuses, Having the frames made is a really good idea. I need to check with my GC to see where he would suggest sourcing the mirror itself from. I'll also run by HD today. I hadn't looked at the selection there yet. Thanks for the tip. bodica, I'm sure I could get more wood from our cabinet maker. He gave me some extra when we picked up the cabinets to make a doorbell cover. It's just a matter of getting over to his shop and obtaining the material. None of this stuff needs to be done right now. I'm sure that patience after we are technically done with the house will be as important as patience was when we were building. There is a desire to have everything complete the day you move in, but that is obviously unrealistic. We already have a chrome faucet specified for that bath. It's been so long since I choose it, I hope it still fits the room. We will know in a week or so. I have not tried LED bulbs before. Can you get them at HD? I can check today. Thanks everyone for the great advice....See MorePink bathroom yes or no?
Comments (172)I certainly never expected this number of comments when posing this almost two weeks ago! As empty nesters, I considered our children that would be visiting and using those bathrooms. My daughter and I both love something a little out of the box especially considering we have other bathrooms that can be more neutral. As far as selling it later, we have moved around quite a bit in the last few years bc of my husband's job and while we don't have plans to sell per se, you never know what the future holds. We're hoping this one could be the last one we build. We're still in planning stage and haven't begun picking out finishes, but I'll be sure and post again with an update! Thanks to all!...See MoreAphaea
