All those brands on on the lower end of cabinetry construction. A lot of people like their Diamond cabinets, but as far as construction standards go, even at those amazingly high prices you're still not getting what would be considered a true mid-grade cabinet. Some people have found Shiloh to be a nice compromise between low-end and mid-grade in quality but with a budget price. If you check with Lowe's, they will periodically run sales on cabinets that can be quite good so you could get a discount on Diamond there. If price is the driving force, then I doubt you'll gain a whole lot going with Diamond. Don't forget about Ikea. A lot of people are very happy with Ikea and get fantastic pricing. Their construction standards and tolerances are good, but just beware to not go with really wide cabinetry from Ikea or you'll run into sagging issues. Your area of the country is a factor as well, as far as any manufacturers that would be close to you so you'd save on shipping costs and be able to sink more into the actual cabinetry pricing itself.

You have picked very clean whites and obviously the counter top is not a super clean white. When you look at the little 2" samples many of the whites don't look white at all, but when on a large surface (Walls, cabinets) they really are white. Try White Dove. It is a warm white that is not overly creamy nor overly clean/bright. I also recommend that you paint a large sample of each color and not on your wall. Whites are tricky and you need to be able to truly visualize the color. Set a small table or something up against the wall and set your counter top material on the table with the white wall color against the wall behind it. Then take the samples outside on a clear day about 2:00 in the afternoon and look at the colors in bright natural daylight. If it is off you will see it better in this lighting than any other lighting.
