Madeleines. Anything to do with them besides goopy mess?

Can you tell? I'm not into tiramisu or trifle. Whipped cream with glop just doesn't doesn't do it for me.

So, someone gave Mr. Picky a 28 oz. box of individually wrapped madeleines. They're factory made, but quality bakery ingredients (no weird stuff). Top three ingredients, in order, are butter, sugar, flour, so they must be pretty sweet and greasy. I'm used to half the volume butter as flour and 1/4-1/3 or even half less volume sugar. Oh. Duh. The info is by weight, right? Duh. So maybe they're okay.

The box is in my freezer now.

Is there anything that doesn't require whipped cream and goop that you can think of to use them for?

I feel like one of those episodes of chopped where they make the garlic croutons out of cake. Not going there!

What are individually wrapped madeleines for? Are the wrappers just an attempt to keep fresh something that shouldn't even be allowed to grow cold?

So confused.
