Colleen I use a lot of distilled water this time of the year, in my humidifier. I made some myself now, and give them away full of mini muffins or cookies. No need to buy a container. ;)

I found the Eggnog Snickerdoodles on the cooking forum years ago. I made them last night and they were very good! I couldn't find Brandy extract so I just used cognac instead. I also added a little bit of cinnamon. Eggnog Snickerdoodles 2 3/4c flour 1 1/2c sugar 1 c butter, softened 2 eggs 2 tsp cream of tartar 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp brandy extract 1/2 tsp rum extract 1/8 tsp nutmeg Sugar mix: 1/4c sugar 1tsp nutmeg Mix butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add flour, cream of tartar brandy and rum extract, salt, soda and nutmeg. Mix well. Chill. Shape into 1 tsp sized balls. Roll in sugar mix. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350° or until cookies are lightly browned. Yields 2 dozen. Recipe easily doubles with no problem.

Both my daughters and The Princess were there, of course: Bud was there too, but he mostly ate cookies and talked with Ashley's husband, Kevin. Madi and Maci were busily decorating cookies and deciding which would be best suited to leave for Santa. This one, a mitten with eyes? Maybe this one, a nicely restrained green wreath? I wish I had gotten a picture of the angel, with big eyes, white wings and a pink flowing robe, but I was busy placing Reese's peanut butter cups into the middle of gluten free peanut butter cookies, LOL. The Princess decorated some for her Dad, who doesn't like "all that stuff", he just wants frosting. Too bad for him, says the Princess, LOL The end result was a grand and glorious mess, filled with Cucidati, sugar cookies, sloppy joes and fudge, along with a few hand fulls of Chex Mix, some chocolate chip cookies, Grandma's Chewy Molasses cookies and a big tub of something we called "White Trash", my old boss Chrystal called "Christmas Crack" and the recipe called "White Chocolate Snack Mix", LOL. Oh, and lots and lots of coffee. Merry Christmas! Annie
