Comments (2)First, make sure you retain all or a good portion of the money for the install. Work through a solution which is acceptable to you, proper valving should have been installed to force (Balance) water through the unit. The fan probably works off an aquastat and will only turn on when hot water is flowing through the unit. Toe kick heaters are usullay fed from below which creates a high point in the system resulting in air migrating to the unit. Hopefully he provided you with an access panel so air can be bled from the unit, proving a remote vent would be another option. Let us know how it goes. Good Luck! Comments (1)Turbonics kicksters toekick heaters. Read about them here before I became a GW member, and liked what I read about them when I did further research. Also liked how enthusiastic about their product the owner and one of the employees were. Our plumber, who had tried to disuade us from getting kick heaters (he hates 'em, thinks they're noisy...), was really impressed with them when he'd installed them (they're very quiet)....See MoreBathroom heating - replacing vanity and toe kick space heater
Comments (13)Design Girl has a great idea - you should install an electric heating matt under the tile. Warmly Your's makes one but my personal favorite is the Schluter system. It's a de-coupling matt and an electric tile warmer as well. Considering your application it won't warm the room but you'll feel warm and it's controlled via a programmable thermostat - expect to invest about $1,200.00 for material and then labor - watch the Utube video.......See Moremtvhike
