how to fix minor end gaps in engineered hardwood?

Alex

Hi Everyone, looking for some advice on how to proceed with this...

A couple years back we went through a pretty large reno of our house and replaced all the hardwood flooring with 5.5" engineered hardwood. at the same time our stairs and nosings were replaced.

Overall the job was done well with the exception of a few small gaps noticed where the floor meets the nosing. the nosing they used was not T&G and as such both ends of the floor was cut to fit.

what was left is some small gaps due to mismeasurement and poor cutting. I always thought I'd get over it however it's been two years and still bothers me.

I want to fill or repair these gaps but I am unsure what to use. my initial thought was to use a color matched filler putty.

any advice would be awesome. Given the time that has passed I'd rather not contact the installer.

thanks for the help!
