Comments (50)Before you guys trash me anymore I just wanted you let all of know devastating it is to stumble upon a public forum with all your personal background out there for anyone to make a stab at it. I really went through a lot getting my kids, I went would go weeks without seeing my children, my ex would make fake doctor's appointments in order to get so called co-pay and prescription money, she used the kids in everyway to scam money from me. Of course I had a court case but it was constanly postponed and went on for over a year. I much as I wanted to get even I stayed within the legal system and now I have custody of my children. Even after i had them full time i had to still pay child support until that part of the legal system was taken care of, so yes financially I was sinking. They are not monsters like many of you have made a stab at, they are 2 wonderful and sweet kids. They went from having to repeat Kindergarden (missed almost 40 days of school with mom)to being top of their class. I am not a bad parent like many of you have suggested. While all this was going on my full time job I had for over 12 years was cutting back our hours, child support payments still of course remained the same(not paying that would have landed me on another forum I guess)so I started taking photography serious because it was easy to see my job was going to vanish. I started part-time and started to make money and yes it did require computer time. Just as I predicted my old job is now gone and I am now a Full-time photographer with a store-front studio. Just like any self-employed job you make lots a sacrifices at first and little money but now I am doing quite well. As you can see I had a lot in my lap and it was quite stressful. She went from getting my full attention from getting it when I had time, I never wanted it that way. I NEVER saw her as an instant "mommy". I knew from the minute I saw her I wanted to marry her. True, I did have visions of us all together but that was only from the fact I Loved her. I do intead still have her engagement ring, I have been offered money for it but I still hope one day I will be able to place back on her finger. Will I wait till my kids are grown up and go off to college so we can pick up from where we left off...Yes, I Love her that much. I am not a villian guys, I'm just a guy that was pesented with a lot of challenges and I am becoming a better man each and every day....See MoreI don't want this, but he can't let go,
Comments (5)First, let me CONGRATULATE you for realizing this is not working and will never work for you. That is something that many, myself included, never realize before it's too late. Tell him one final time, via letter, then: Stop answering his calls and/or emails. Period. Never, ever answer or engage him in any way again. This will just make him think there's a chance he can get back into your life. Do not speak to him and give him the opening to wear you down and make you feel guilty about not trying again. That is why I suggest the letter. A few other observations, and these are red flags that you have probably already seen, but just in case: 1. "He's been married twice already." HUGE red flag! No matter what he's told you about his ex wives, there is a reason he has two exes. Don't sign up to be ex #3. (I was wife #2, and he's got #3 lined up. I wish I could warn this poor woman, but she'd never listen. He is controlling, and verbally and emotionally abusive. He did not start this until after I married him.) 2. "I am trying to wave all sorts of red flags, and this man is not understanding what I'm telling him." Another huge red flag. He DOES understand, but he is refusing to respect your thoughts, feelings, and boundaries. That type of treatment manifests itself in so many awful ways if you continue a relationship with this kind of person. 3. "Helping me go through my "issues" Um, you don't have any issues! You simply and wisely realize that this is not for you. He thinks he can show/teach/change you, against your already stated desires. Red flag for a controlling personality. 4. "I don't want to be the source of more pain to them, but I have to look out for myself and my future as well, and this situation doesn't make me happy." Follow your gut! You are absolutely right, you have to look out for YOURSELF and your future. You are not happy! Embrace your feelings because they are saving you YEARS of future anguish. It's hard to be a source of pain to someone, but what's the alternative? Marry this guy and ruin your life? I won't even go into the stepmother issue, there's plenty of that to read on other threads here....See MoreLetting the garden go
Comments (3)What do you want there? Is grass low maintenance to you? I hate mowing grass, but you just have to mow it, and it will look nice. I understand what you are saying about low maintenace, and you don't have alot of itme to tend to it anymore. Any gardening requires extensive weeding, and watering during drought periods. You could just let the front bed become grass, just dig out the plants there now, the grass will over grow it anyway in time. That is easy. If you want to, mabey put a container of seasonal annual plants on the wall occasionally, and water it with a cup of water every once in a while. The berry garden sounds like work to get rid of it. You will have to dig out the raised beds. Hopefully you have a wheel barrel, and can dump the dirt somewhere, and dig out all the berries since you don't want to tend to the plants anymore. Ask neighbors and friends if they wan the plants, tell them to bring a shovel! You know, mabey you can plant nice cold hardy succulents where the berries are now. And put some stones around them. Succulents are VERY easy to take care of, and quite attractive surrounded by stones. You won't have too much weeding in a succulent garden if you use preemergent every February and September on the stones, just a thought. Not much water either. That way you won't have to get rid of your path of stones in the berry garden. I think the older you get, the busier you get, the easier it is to de garden. LOL....See More- 6 years ago
