Bathroom vanity update & bathroom cabinet painting
Comments (1)I would replace both counters and sinks. The sinks do not match so even if you do (sort of) match the brown counter they will not look like they go together....See MoreBathroom Reno-Do items look good together? (With Pics)
Comments (6)I like the vanity a lot. The sconces have a bit of an old-timey, steam-punk look to them...the sort of vessels you'd have seen in a late 1800's science laboratory. But...the mirror....it looks dated by today's standards yet still too modern to have anything to do with the vanity and sconces. I'd pick a rectangular mirror with some sort of frame...no bevel or corner clips....See MoreWhat would you do to update this bathroom?
Comments (12)You pegged it, from the 90’s! Yes, the floor tile is pinkish, as is the tub & toilet. The sinks are hand painted w pinkish flowers. The shower & tub deck tile is a marble “look alike”. The finishes fit the house, which is based off a southern plantation home in LA. I don’t want to modernize it & don’t want to invest the $ either. It needs a lot! Yes, agree to paint the wood around the tub. Paint the sink base? To the left is another wood panel/drawers, pull out laundry hamper. Frameless glass shower surround, new shower fixtures. The tub is huge, old jacuzzi. Must be replaced, can’t stand the thought of that nasty water in the lines, gross, Would like something like this....... But, what material for the top? Don’t know if it should be marble, since it has the faux marble tiles, too many different hard surfaces. Maybe white corian? Since it has wallpaper, thought maybe this.......ive been dying to use this. Allison used the fabric in one of her bedrooms = love!...See MoreDo yellow bathroom tiles have to go? Comments (14)I almost painted my weird apricot/peachy bathroom tile when I moved in (fall 2019) but my friend talked me out of it. I also have black accent tiles. I found a stunning shower curtain at Target, a sort of watercolor motif that picks up perfectly on the tile color, painted my walls grey (sounds weird but it works with the black tile), added gray rugs and towels and a brushed nickel towel rack/hooks. I get so many compliments and I'm so glad I didn't paint it. Do share whatever you decide to do....See MoreSarah Bernier
