Guest Picks: A Dreamy Bathroom Update
Everything from the sink to the tiles to give your bathroom a dreamy overhaul
I'm building a new bathroom from scratch (and keeping everyone up to date over at my blog), and these are a few of my favorite inspirational pieces to create a dreamy space. Whether I move toward a rustic, whimsical or modern bath design, I love a unique room! — Morgan from Pepper Design Blog
Waves Of Ruffles Shower Curtain
This shower curtain is just the right amount of feminine in a neutral color. I love the delicate ruffle detail along the bottom third of the curtain, and I could see this pulled around a free-standing claw-foot tub.
Simonetta Organic Bath Towels
These botanical-pattern hand towels in shades of ice blue, gray and sand would look great in a guest bath. Pair them with striped or solid towels for a complete set.
Damask Bath Mat
I'm head over heels for this beautiful damask bath mat. The unique shape and beautiful design would make a bathroom pop.
Refracted Ambiance Jar
I love the tarnished gold lids on these jars and would use them to store cotton balls and Q-tips in the bathroom. How pretty would they be sitting on an open shelf in a group of three?
Perpetual Blooms Towels, Neutral
Hang these beautiful towels where all can see them. Indulging in the little accessories is part of what makes bubble baths so fun. I love the beautiful raised terry cloth print.
Faceted Mirror Sconce
These mirror sconces would look stunning on either side of a vanity and mirror. The antique details add a feminine touch to the linear shape.
Rush Dining Chair
A chair in the bathroom is the easiest way to create a resting spot for toiletries and bathrobes of guests. It's also a nice location to drape your towel and clothes when bathing. I love the structure of this beautiful rush chair.
Zinc Zig-Zag Hook
This zigzag set of wall hooks would be a unique way to display towels in a bathroom. I love the shape, the zinc material and the vintage vibe of this piece.
Needlepoint Valentine
Needlepoint artwork is a great way to display art in your bathroom without worrying about condensation ruining canvas paintings or photos. This set of letters would be perfect for a feminine/romantic bathroom or vanity area.
Colored Seeded Glass Pendants, Peridot
To mix things up a bit, I'd hang these beautiful seeded-glass pendants over the vanity area of a bathroom. They have such a stunning shape and color!
Textured Silver Frame Mirror
Pair this brushed silver frame mirror with a dark vanity for a nice contrast in the bathroom. I would use a marble vanity top with oil-rubbed bronze fixtures to give an instant update to an everyday bathroom.
Overscaled Row of Hooks
A set of rustic hooks on reclaimed wood would be a beautiful way to store towels in a bathroom. The oversize dimensions of this rack make it a very cool piece to include.
Kiko Rack 4 Shelf
Add a little zen to a larger bathroom by using open Japanese-influenced shelves to hold bath supplies, towels and candles.
Malabar Side Table
Side tables have so many different uses; they are great in the living room next to the sofa, they make excellent caddies in the office, and when they're the correct proportion, they work beautifully as a vanity in a bathroom. Add a ceramic bowl and install plumbing just as you would the store-bought version.
Gatco Designer 2 Chrome Glass Shelf
You cannot go wrong with simple, classy glass shelves in a bathroom. They bring a bit of elegance to the space and float on a wall providing plenty of extra — and valuable — storage space.
Elida Ceramica Recycled Mosaic Artic Green Glass Wall Tile
I love glass tile, and I can't think of a more spa-like experience than encasing your shower and tub in it. It's beautiful. Plus, this recycled version from Lowe's meets my criteria for staying green.
Shop Watts SunTouch UnderFloor Radiant Floor Warming Mat
Radiant heating must be one of the most economical solutions to cold toes in the morning. If you're redoing your bath any time soon, don't forget this super simple (and affordable) addition. It's divine!
Bathroom Ceramic Vessel Vanity Sink Basin Bowl
If you're considering a side table, buffet or otherwise non-bathroom vanity as a vanity, a classic ceramic white bowl like this will work beautifully as the sink. I love the modern shape of this one.
French Green Clay Handmade Soap by Bekah's Boutique
Nothing says "be my guest" more than a fresh bar of handmade soap for your visitors. Mmmm, it smells delicious and looks equally beautiful.
Mountain Peaks Bath Basket, Tall
This chevron print basket in a subtle gray and white color combination would work well as extra storage in a small bath. Roll up dark teal or crisp white towels for guests.
