What kind of tile are those usually subway tile does not come in sheets . As for matching your stove doesn’t match either . Even if the colors were the same they would look different because the materials are different . I sure hope you are not thinking of leaving that stove where it is when you are doing all that work planned.

I think the backsplash will look fine if you use a grout that matches the tile color very closely so that the grout lines disappear as much as possible. You will never get the cabinet color to match the tile, nor should you want to. As Patricia Colwell said, the other whites in the kitchen will not match either. Most of the time when people try to match whites, it looks worse than when the whites are purposely different shades. What you have is fine.

The gray paint you mentioned may be too much gray. It is hard to know. Paint should be the last thing you do after everything else. Don't choose it yet.

I would be hesitant to spend a lot of money on something with a poor layout - which is the range position. We can't see the rest of the kitchen so we don't know what is going on with it. I would not re-do the floors unless you are willing to change the layout. In any case, the wood floor shown in your OP pic looks very nice; I do not know why you'd want to change it.

are there any lights below counter. if not add led strip light below counter as it quite dark there. may be because of which u are not liking it.

Definitely not keeping the stove we’re going to get a matching stove that goes with the dishwasher.

Floors are some sort of pergo. The lay out in the kitchen is crazy it’s a big beautiful space and they shoved the kitchen into the corner. We’re thinking of getting a island as well. Ok phew I was worried the two shades of white we’re fighting but I didn’t thinking it was horrible just not perfect or exactly what I was imagining. My husband got them at homedepot. There a retro Matte Bianco. I love the farmhouse boho chic vibe. This was before We did anything.

I will say everyone is making me feel a lot better I was ready to paint my cabinets or rip out the backsplash when I woke up! Husband would of been none too happy with me.

The backsplash not matching the cabinets is a non issue. As long as you make everything else intentional, it too will look intentional. For the light, I would use something like this:

I would wait on wall color until everything else is complete. I also think the space will get a major upgrade once the stove is updated --how exciting!

What herb may be getting at is that your tiles are cool toned, your cabinets warm. One way of combatting the difference is to make sure your grout is on the warm side - an off white, nothing that will contrast too much. Here's what cool white tile looks like with yellow grout - not recommending this, it's a little too yellow - but you get the idea.

These are Mapei unsanded grout colors. You might not want to use (38) Avalanche or even (00) White, but consider (14) Biscuit or (49) Light Almond.

If you cannot add recessed I would do a track-style or rail style light with adjustable heads to get some light around the room, either in white or stainless. Since we want it to blend away I wouldnt do bronze. You could do an expensive rail kit that spanned the room but idk your budget for it . here is a simple look at what i mean.

I think the reason you're having such a hard time is because you were envisioning something different. It doesn't feel like as big of a deal to all of us cause we see what it is now and not what you were aiming for. I think in order for you to love it you need to adjust the game plan. I would do that by doing one of two things; one, embrace the cool/warm tone combo with grout choice and paint selection or two, change either the backsplash or cabinet color.

Before you make any decision, I would go on Pinterest and look for kitchens with cool/warm cabinet/backsplash combinations and try to get inspired. Here's an example, although I think your kitchen already looks better than this one:

Notice how the cabinets are warmer than the cool tone backsplash. To counter it, there are warmer "white" items on the counter.

I also think adjusting your lighting before you do anything else will have a major impact on the space as a whole. The color of your lights can really make or break a space.

Yes you will! about six weeks after its over and you go back to living instead of work in the kitchen it will die down then off............life will take back over lol.

you might consider stainless outlet covers to help with the concern of white's matching each other....

No. If that's who you were, you either wouldn't have noticed, or wouldn't have bothered to post about it. Every time you look at it you will see it. You may eventually mind less though. And if it continues to vex you, rip out the tile and put in the right color.

You know, before you grout, you can replace random white subway tiles with a few off-white subways. It isn't easy, but it would make your bs choice appear more purposeful.

OK, this is probably a nuts idea, but I like the idea of a contrasting grout for this kitchen. In other words, I like how it looks ungrouted, so I think DeLorean grey ( which looks like a darker grey?) might work. Can you use that extra tile to make a sample board? Then, I'd add a light more like this one.

As for hardware, I'd use black pulls on the lower cabinets, in a farmhouse style, not the pointy modern ones. Like the pulls in eam's photo.

Hey barn! What’s missing in your image is the off white cabinets. Add those and it might be a less pretty picture.

Well, yeah, as I was saying, I think a grey grout could be pretty in her kitchen and I quick grabbed that photo because of the wood and to show a contrasting grout.

The photo Lena and GLO European posted is indeed closer because of the cabinets but still shows a contrasting grey, not a matching white, grout. And I still think it's a pretty look for her.

BTW, the backsplash in the photo you posted looks a bit like mine in coloration!

DeLorean is a blue/gray, almost lavender toned grout. It works better w/cooloer tones and marble.

It's similar to Mapei Silver. also a cool tone

For your kitchen I'd use a warmer grout color.

Mapei -Warm Gray is nice. It will work perfectly w/your wood top.

if you want a darker gray, try Pewter or 'Gray' from Mapei.

I'm not sure what grout color was used since the photo is from Pinterest. If you look closely, it looks to be a dark grey since it matches the stainless steel dishwasher in the photo.

Don't worry about the difference you're seeing between the trim and the tiles. When looking at the space as a whole, it's not noticeable. Definitely go with contrasting tile. It lends itself more to the farmhouse/boho vibe you're going for. But with the nice butcher block counters, I like the idea to choose a warmer gray grout such as the Oyster Gray posted above. You might also want to choose a more greige color on the walls than the one you're considering, something like Sherwin Williams' Accessible Beige or Behr's Toasty Gray.

We went with grout that matched our white subway tiles (no, it doesn't get dirty-looking). Perfect. You wouldn't regret it.

Changing something as little as the window shade (too dark) would be helpful. Stove's gotta go somewhere else.

Lena, did you happen to see the Houzz kitchen of the week? It shouod show up in your Stories. They used white cabinets (cooler than yours I think) and some wood shelves and brick but they also used a contrasting grout. This photo is one of theirs.

Yes, agreeable grey is a warm grey. I think Beth's suggestion of Oyster might work well. Your cabinets can be warmer than your backsplash - lots of people think that's a pretty look. Hang in there!
