I have been buying the Bombas for both DD's and the oldest one's BF for a few years now.

They are either cotton or wool, so natural fibers. They seem to like them.

Allbirds were not comfortable for me. I was surprised as they look so soft, stretchable and roomy. I have a wide foot and again although they look wide, they were not enough for me.

I have bought Bombas mostly because the company donates socks-much the same reason I buy Toms shoes. I have only bought the ones I wear with sneakers in the summer, though. I do like them.

eld, funny but I don’t like a squishy shoe either. I don’t like Skechers just for that reason. Although I like a thicker sole for walking around, I like it to be a bit firmer. Sounds like Bombas are pretty much the same as any other natural fiber sock. I like Smartwool for warm yet not so thick socks.

No, but they’ve bombarted the airwaves with their commercials to the point of adnauseam. Smartwool fan here too...expensive but worth it.

Bombas really do feel nice on and the details are really nice -- lack of seems that can irritate and the arch support weave that hugs your foot just a bit. The wool ones don't cost any more than the smartwool I've bought for my sons and most are available in the XL they need where I have a hard time finding smartwool in XL.. I also like that I can get womens' socks to fit my long foot (they have sizes up to 13). Everyone I gave them to last year has commented on liking them. My son asked for more this year

. The fact that they give a pair for each pair sold just makes them nicer (but I probably wouldn't pay as much for cotton socks without it). The Black Friday 20% is the time to buy -- only once a year that I am aware of.

I haven't tried Allbirds -- they don't make my size. Their response is to wear the men's sizes, which I refuse to do. Men's shoes run wider and my foot is not wider. I might try them if they make my size to fit my foot. My sister's foot is a little larger and she does wear the men's. She really likes them.

Rothy's has a show made with merino wool and the recycled plastic fibers. I'm thinking about trying a pair.

I'm a fan of my Allbirds. I like the wool. I wear them without socks and like that they are washable.

I wish I could try Allbirds in a store to see if the squish is too much for me. May have to give Bombas a try. Are they in stores or only on line? I think I saw them in Nordstrom?

I've never tried Bombas, but last year I got a pair of Darn tough socks that I love! I didn't really want to spend that much for a pair of socks, but they are really comfortable. I might ask for another pair this year:)

A few years ago Darn Tough and Smartwool were recommended and I did buy them for DD BF. He appreciated them but to me, they don't look at neat and comfortable as Bombas.

DED, there is an AllBirds store in SoHo I think. Next time you are in NYC put it on your list.

For a cute all fabric sneaker, try the Puma Prowl Alt Knit mesh. I go up 1/2 size in all sneakers. This one fits me. I don't think wide is offered and i don't need it. This was my alternative to Allbirds.

I also have New Balance running fresh form (WCRUZRG2) in the light gray. I went up a 1/2 size and did get the D width in this one. It is roomier than the Puma, maybe I could have gone with just the 1/2 size up. Again, this is an AllBirds looking sneaker to me.

At my library there is a “take what you need, leave what you can” box. Recently, it had 25-30 pairs of brand new Bombas low cut socks in it. I’ve been curious about those socks but I wasn’t going to take a pair when I’m sure they are meant for needy people, not curious people.

I only wear Bombas. I wear a size 7 shoe and most women's socks don't fit me if there is a heel in the sock (too big). Bombas are really comfortable and stay nice for a very long time. Last year my DS got everyone GCs for Bombas and my DH nows loves them too. I wear the cotton sock. I can't wear anything with wool so I can't speak to the wool Bombas.

I've gotten women's Darn Tough and SmartWool socks at TJ Maxx, you may have to dig a little, but they are there quite often, in fact, I picked up a SmartWool pair for my daughter just last week.

DH and I both have Bombas socks. I love them. They last forever. I only have the ankle socks, which I wear with sneakers for walking/gym.

We both (and DD age 18) have Allbirds too. We all like them. I have slip-ons and they’re as comfy as slippers but I’ve worn them to run errands, go to yoga, etc...

dedtired - on one of the Philly channels this evening they advertised Bombas on sale - I checked the web site and they're offering 20% off for the Holiday Sale. I've never bought them so I don't know if there's a better price later.

I own multiple pairs of both Bombas and Allbirds.

They are extremely comfortable and well made products in my experience.

They are offering a 20% off and will again during holidays according to emails.

When I first ordered Bombas I got the 20% first time customer but after that it won't work unless you find another coupon code, and there aren't a lot of them.

Last week I stocked up again with the sale offer as they have more styles.

When my son found out that Darn Tough socks have a lifetime guarantee he bought about 10 pairs, and figures that he's set for life. :-D

Terezosa, he may be set for as long as the company is around. Actually -- went to the website and they don't say the socks will last for life. They say they are promised to be the most comfortable and durable socks you have owned, not that you will have the socks till you die. And they don't cover lost or damaged socks. You have to send in the worn socks, so you have to have a pair, worn out and not damaged and have them accept that they didn't meet or exceed life expectancy -- which isn't really clear. I'd be curious whether after 10 years they would simply replace or ask what socks you have that have lasted longer with comparable wear. I hope he enjoys the socks and wears them long and hard enough he doesn't care one way or the other at the end.

Thought I would share that after a very long day of working on projects around the house, DH told me last night that he was wearing the Bombaas I h=gave him last year and he noticed his feet were not as tired or achy as he's expect after being on his feet so much all day and night. Getting my brother a wool pair and a hiking pair because he works on his feet all day and sometimes in the cold.

Another Bombas lover here. I have tender feet and the Bomba is thick and huggy where it needs to be. Plus I wear a small shoe (6.5) and Bombas come in a small size to fit me. It’s amazing what a difference good socks will make.
