MamaPinky....Tide Professional or Miele Care White?
Comments (38)@mamapinky, in your case, it's my opinion that appliances from that era weren't exactly BOL. I mean, you could purchase ANY dishwasher and get the exact same results. The same goes for ovens, and refrigerators. Things we're made, much much better then. Dishwashers actually used water. And, with Detergent's... formulated well, it didn't really make a difference what model you had. You'd still get a clean load of dishes. One of my favorite dishwashers, actually was a BOL GE Triton from a Disney Grand Floridian Resort Villa. I joke about that, because, they we're probably the cheapest, builder grade appliances they could find. But... every single load, would come out, completely immaculate. Even the tough stuff, like oatmeal stuck on bowls & stuck on egg, just rinsed completely away with the Phosphate Detergent packets they gave us. Like I said, older appliances, we're much better made. I don't think it really mattered what you bought ;)...See MoreMama Pinky
Comments (23)I couldn't get the whole laundry isle because the meat counter line was backed up into the cleaning isle. I didn't look at the Foca bags. Mama - anytime you want to visit and tour Hispanic groceries I'm game :) Indianapolis airport is 20 mins away. Indianapolis has nothing but chain restaurants but we have Russian, Indian, Korean, Mexican and German grocery stores and a few international markets. It took awhile but I manage to find what I need though I do stock up on Polish foods when I visit my parents. I can't figure out how to message you! Let me know where to send the Ivory......See MoreMamaPinky...THANK YOU!!! Package arrived today!!!
Comments (24)I right away emailed Mitch, and sadly...NO response. Also, he has not responded to any of the replies in this thread. It was so awesome to hear from our GREATLY missed Mitch. Maybe he really does not want to talk or interact with any of us :( Mitch....come back. You are important to us! Mama's vintage Cascade powder. WOW!!!! I ran a load last night...crusted, baked on lasagna pan, plates, bowls, utensils, cups, mixing bowls, silverware....NO rinsing. NO prewash. NO extended wash. NO soak. NO turbo. Just Sensor wash (automatic) and some of this phosphate rich, sadly long gone Cascade powder....FLAWLESS everything! Alex....I wonder how adding STPP with my Cascade Complete powder will do, or with Finish powder. Cascade Complete does a pretty good job, actually a great job on most things....but it can struggle with stainless pots/pans and I find some hard, white residue powder on the inside, top of door seal each time I use it. Odd. Does not happen with Finish powder!...See MoreLaundry questions for Mama Pinky
Comments (41)Mama, my BIL does all the ironing at their house, he finds it relaxing. He sets up the ironing board in front of sports on TV and irons away ;0) All his dress shirts (does a flawless job), anything else in the household that may need it. He doesn't cook or clean, hates to shop, but does the laundry and irons. They've just finished building a weekend home and he has his own laundry room there. Washer dryer, deep sink, cabinets, hanging space and folding counter, good lighting and a wall mounted TV. DH insists on creased jeans, and I'm talking work jeans so we've agreed he will do his own. He'll iron his own casual stuff, khakis etc, but if he needs a dress shirt or dress pants I'm fine pressing those for him....See More- 6 years ago
