Sigh... I love blue...
Comments (3)There's nothing quite as cool-looking(temperaturewise) as BLUE flowers. I grew Phacelia a few years ago, best blue i ever saw, next to cornflowers. The bell-shaped blue flowers with icy-white anthers were beautiful, and stirred up images of cooler weather. They do have a short bloom time, hot weather just about stops the show, cutting back helps somewhat. Give 'em a try, i believe there are 2 or 3 varieties. Good luck, and enjoy....See Moredo these colors go together.
Comments (1)Lyban, I'm awful at visualizing colors together but why don't you go to a paint store and get a fan deck? Sometimes they'll give it to you for free if they know you'll be using their paints. Usually they cost about $5.00. Along with the fan deck, they have tons of glossy pictures of rooms with various colors you can take home to look at....See MoreWould this PB duvet go with a Silver Sage Bedroom?
Comments (27)I have the SS in my bath. I have a variety of towel colors because my last bath was simply black and white and I changed out the accessory colors daily. I find that bright yellow, pale yellow, red and pale blue, all go nicely with the silver sage. As a matter of fact I'm going to paint my guest BR at the new house SS and I picture a very pale yellow ceiling, a white bedspread (I like the cotton ones that I can wash all the time because of pets), and the throw pillows will be white with maybe some red embroidered cherries on them. I'm going to have pale yellow rugs (I like throw rugs vs one large), and white lace curtains. I might put up some art that has blue and yellow. I don't know yet, I'll have to live in it a little while before making decisions on art. The room will be kind of cottage/shabby chic looking I suppose. I don't know if my ideas help, but I just wanted to throw them out there for you. Good luck....See MorePowder room - do these finishes go together ok?
Comments (13)@mrspete, do you think better if I switch to rectangular mirror? Or keep simiplifying even more? This is purely opinion, but I like the fancy mirror ... I'd change the vanity. Why? Because I'd rather "go simple" with the more permanent items. It's easy to change out a mirror later. Chrome and polished nickel are classics I think this topic gets too much attention. Once the room is put together, I don't think anyone really notices the metal -- as long as they match and as long as you're in the "expected-for-faucets" silver family. If you branch out into the trendy brass tones, then I think people notice....See Moreelisabethmeikle
