I think it would. SS actually goes very well with red and gold. I would consider using some accent pillows or a throw at the end of the bed to help tie it together.

Looking at the duvet cover closely, it has some leaves and smaller flowers that have that greenish-grey in them, tho they appear more grey, but then monitors can be deceiving. I went to RH and pulled up the silver sage and put it next to the closeup of the duvet, and I wasn't crazy about it. The colors in the duvet are much warmer and gold-toned, so it didn't really do much for me.

But the only way to know for sure is to try it. The lighting, case goods, flooring and other factors in your room may change the colors, especially the wall color.

I don't think it would go well. I am living with a RH Silver Sage BR and found that greens are a difficult match. On my monitor the green in the bed spread looks to be a very yellow-y green and definately won't go with Silver Sage. But it could look different in person of course.

Are you trying to find a bedspread to match walls you already painted Silver Sage or are you trying to pick a paint color to match a bedspread you already have and are using the link as an example? I couldn't tell from your post.

I think the bedding is very pretty. But I agree with the others that I can't picture it with Silver Sage...

Silver Sage is a cool color, and the bedding is very warm and the color tones don't seem to go together - SS is more pastel in nature and the bedding colors are rich. I think a pretty sage green would look nice, or even a gold color.

Silver Sage shows blue on my monitor but my DIL has it in her public area and it is more sage that in some light becomes almost a true pastel green. Is hers not mixed right or is my monitor not right? I found BM colors on my monitor (colorcharts.org) look nothing like the "real paint."

My personal opinion is that your wall color should either be the color of the background or the color that is prominent in the comforter. I'm a silver sage lover, but don't think it's the color for that set. Just my 2 cents.

I like the Creamy Ecru! Squirrel, What color did you use. I love that color. My new furniture has arrived. I will share soon. My hands are having nerve problems so I was not able to type tonight must until now.

They're Squirrely colors! I really do need my own paint line :) I'd call it an ecru, I guess. That seems to be a neutral color a lot of times. Natural cotton color too.

Here's a match to the RH's online ss photo. I've only seen photographs and they do seem to vary in the amount of blue that shows up. It strikes me as a color that morphs quite a bit.

Since i just painted our bedroom 10 months ago i will just continue to look for the perfect duvet cover. Any ideas from anyone on where to look??? I don't really see that particular PB bedding going with silver sage. I just painted our daughter's room silver sage. Oh, how I love that color! She got her own apartment, so I got a guest bedroom to decorate. I bought the RH silver sage medallion quilt and shams. The other bedding I have bought to go with it is all white. It is a room in progress, but here is a picture of what I am doing with my silver sage:

I think White, Neutral Beiges (or taupe type colors),brown, buttercream, and other colors in the SS palettes that RH has on display with SS (I think there is about 3 of them. One of them being a pale silver) are colors that look great with SS. It's a hard color to mix with other colors since it changes it's hue according to lighting.

I have the SS in my bath. I have a variety of towel colors because my last bath was simply black and white and I changed out the accessory colors daily. I find that bright yellow, pale yellow, red and pale blue, all go nicely with the silver sage. As a matter of fact I'm going to paint my guest BR at the new house SS and I picture a very pale yellow ceiling, a white bedspread (I like the cotton ones that I can wash all the time because of pets), and the throw pillows will be white with maybe some red embroidered cherries on them. I'm going to have pale yellow rugs (I like throw rugs vs one large), and white lace curtains. I might put up some art that has blue and yellow. I don't know yet, I'll have to live in it a little while before making decisions on art. The room will be kind of cottage/shabby chic looking I suppose. I don't know if my ideas help, but I just wanted to throw them out there for you. Good luck.

DaisyAdair, why not order the bedding from PB and see what it looks like when it gets here, then make the decision to send it back or keep it. I did not see one single person here who had the same bedding and Silver Sage paint to make the comparison, so I say since colors in catalogs, on monitor, paint chips can be very deceiving, to get the bedding and return it if it does not work out.

As far as your bedspread background having to identically match your walls, I have never heard of that. I bet Martha Stewart has not either.

I think it might be hard to find florals along the lines of ss. This one is very pretty with it.

My mistake, Daisy. I thought, you too, were interested in it as was Athome3. I do think anyone who wants it should just order it and try it with the paint and if it does not work, send it back and get something that does work. My misundertanding. Somehow I misread, and was thinking you too wanted it. Excuse me. Sitting here with red face.

Here's a PB duvet on sale at eBay. I think there were a number of sizes available. Seems to have that teal-y color in it. There's a zoom on the fabric at one seller.

Patricia, no reason for the red face....I misread things on here *all the time*! :)

I wish I could use SS in my home....the natural light we receive just doesn't complement that color, except as a ceiling color. I also *love* that bedding (too bad I already have my bedroom fabrics), but don't see it with SS, either, UNLESS that little bit of gray in the pattern matches.

brutuses, your new home sounds really, really pretty. You've put a lot of thought into it, and I love the exteriors-in-progress that you've shared. I hope that you'll post interiors when you're done. :)
