What color should my trim be?
Comments (1)Why make this so hard? ! What is the purpose of maple anything, when it could ALL BE WHITE? MDF is fine for trim, and frankly, nothing makes a better baseboard than a simple 1 x 6 ! Yes.....painted! It needs nothing, not even shoe molding. Exterior door is one thing. No match is necessary inside to outside. I would re think an exterior door in "golden oak".............why?...See MoreDoor casing and baseboard trim
Comments (1)Here is a Houzz article on it. 7" Baseboard, 3.5" casing [https://www.houzz.com/magazine/how-to-size-interior-trim-for-a-finished-look-stsetivw-vs~2934773[(https://www.houzz.com/magazine/how-to-size-interior-trim-for-a-finished-look-stsetivw-vs~2934773)...See Moredoor casing and baseboards
Comments (2)Generally not. Are you talking about plain, square-edged craftsman-style casework, or something with a milled profile?...See Morecasing and baseboard remodel
Comments (2)I am not sure exactly what you want to accomplish I think the worst is the last pic where the framing does not line up. It seems to me that the more fancy trim was in the LR area and then just a simple trim in the less public spaces which is often done. I aslo have no idea why the baseboards need changing. So I guess I need a bit more info ....See MoreDebbie Laird
