Vegetable plant ID help – Cauliflower, chard? I don’t know! (x post)

Hi all! I posted this in a couple gardening areas on Houzz, but thought my gardening friends here might now - since you all are so knowledgeable : ) Anyway...

I’m new to gardening anything other than herbs, tomatoes, and pole beans. I planted some rows of Waltham 29 Broccoli by seed in my (new) suburban garden, Zone 7, on September 16th, about 42 days ago, and noted one plant seemed quite different than the others. Rather than cull it as I was thinning, I decided to let the odd plant live. I figure a stray seed got in the packet. I only planted brussel sprouts and carrots elsewhere, and those don’t look anything like this one plant.

It’s now larger than the broccoli plants all around it, a brighter green, and I’m out of my league in guessing what it might be. I thought chard, but doesn’t chard grow tall, not out? Then I thought cauliflower, but again, this is beyond my expertise.

Do you all have any ideas?

BTW, I did try to add the Cooking forum to my other post, and Houzz doesn't list it : (
