October Have you found any bargains or deals? Hhhhhmmmmm......?
Comments (36)I'm doing a long-overdue re-organization of my garage. I needed all sorts of garage hanging gadgets, so I went to Menards. It was during their rebate special... I had no idea what it was. The helpful cashier pointed to the bottom portion of my receipt. I'm getting 11% back! Does that count as a bargain? I didn't realize Menards carried so much... stuff. They have a whole section of JR Watkins products....See MoreHave you found any bargains or deals lately? February edition.
Comments (56)I found one pair of Hokas today at TJ Maxx. They were 9 1/2 ( I am usually an 8 1/2 or 9) . I tried them on and they were actually pretty comfy.........but they were blue and orange and $79.99. I think if they looked a bit more "normal" I might have bought them. I want to be able to wear sneakers with a little nicer outfit ( like I was wearing today, for when we travel.... still casual but a step up from gym clothes).. These really looked like clown shoes on me and for the price, I just couldn't. But I was excited to see them in TJM. I would have been happy with the ones Jane shared above. These were like medium blue with orange flames. oh well....See MoreHave YOU found any bargains or deals? March edition.
Comments (2)picked up 30 lbs of sirloin tip for $2.99 a pound if this is a deal. Seasoned with a rub and vacuum packed them to freeze in 3 to 4lb chunks. Now I can sous vide a roast from the freezer or thaw and grind for lean burger. But this doesn't compare to your 99 cent ratchet screw driver. Great find, and I do like those boots....See MoreHave YOU found any bargains or deals? August
Comments (53)I needed to replace the nearly-falling-apart cotton sheeting capris that I live in at home during the hot days - late in the season, so colors were limited, plus I wanted clearance prices. I finally googled the brand of one of the old ones (Erika) and came up with Boscov's - they actually also had a different brand, but pretty much identical, all cotton, and a couple of acceptable colors. Also had a 20% off coupon! even though shipping was a bit higher than I hoped - still, all told, I got 2 pair for $14 + change each. Capris Also I had a couple of good curb rescues: a George Kovacs ceiling pendant that was missing a globe (replaced from the local lighting store); a floor lamp that just needed a new socket, a table lamp that was perfect, and this Safavieh shag rug that needed a heavy cleaning - but turned out just fine! I'll probably sell the rug instead of donating since I had to put more than usual effort/time into it. Likewise the pendant - looks like it sells for $400-500 new - someone will get a bargain (my ceilings are too low in my small house to use it, too bad!)...See Morenicole___
