Can I saw off the legs to my bathroom vanity

I need a 48" vanity for my master bathroom, and I really want one that is flush with the floor. Seems like nearly everything online is on legs. I can get one from a local cabinet store, but I found this online for a few hundred less. I love the look, but was thinking about sawing and sanding off the legs so that it sat directly on the floor. Has anyone done this? I want to hear about why this is a good or bad idea before I do it! I have some stain that would match closely enough to cover any chips along the bottom that show the wood underneath.

I also noticed this doesn't have a backsplash, but I'm guessing that won't be too hard to fix.
