need help choosing dining chairs for table

I bought this beautiful table from RH on Facebook marketplace and now I need chairs to go with it! Trying to avoid something that will get torn up by my cats. Any ideas?

Post a photo of the dining room and surrounding rooms. The pros will want to see those.

Take a tape measure when you are shopping. When your table is delivered, measure it with a tape measure. (Ads can be deceiving)

Once upon a time, we fell in love with a dining room table, but not the chairs that coordinated with it, The actual table was taller than the dimensions listed. It took us over a year to find upholstered chairs that were the correct height for it. I realize that you and your cats are not in the market for upholstered chairs, but actual table height does matter,

Check out Carrington Court Chairs online. They are reasonably priced, you can pick from their fabrics or send your own. They have numerous styles to choose from. I ordered a chair for a desk we use occasionally. I sent my own fabric and am very pleased with the chair...nice upholstery job and they have good customer service.

Beautiful table and I think fabric chairs are a perfect choice. With a fabric chair you usually have an exposed leg. You will never match the wood on the chair leg exactly so you just have to pay attention to the style and shade. This is a rustic table so do NOT choose a leg that is formal and polished. Something a bit more rustic and black or gray. There are many to choose from. From there choose a fabric that coordinates with the table surroundings.

But, a rug under the table also makes for a hard clean. When the space is all yours and not used or shared by anyone else, that might not make much difference to you. However, once you invite in a few neighbors, family and the grand kids to sit at a table, you are going to curse that rug under the table. A square or rectangular table makes better use of space, almost always.

I would do a round table 56” in diameter...would look great. or a 56” x76” rectangle you subtract 30” from both sides of table for room to pull out chairs and maneuver around the space...also from length.. so take the width of your room and subtract 60” and take length if your room and subtract 60” Room width....116-60=56” wide for table width room length....136-60=76” long for table length
