Wooohooo!!! Nothing like finding a fabulous bargain is there? I agree with igloo about the 2 rooms. But...I also think you could do the 2 in one room. It depends on how the rest of the room is decorated. Some schemes could really pull this off, but the rest of the room would have to be perfectly done. I don't think you necessarily have to the same paint colour in the kitchen. You could pull another colour out of the fabric that goes well with the putty.

odds are, no matter what you size them to, the window or the wall, it will be the same size rod and the same size drapery panels. dont do a shirred treatment. have something on rings or drapes with the loops on the back. have small finials, a large one wont fit in the smaller spaces. put all the brackets in the same place with regard to the window casing. hang the drapes with one or two rings outside the bracket. adjust the length of the rod to match the window, or match the space. decide which you like the best. you'll be able to do either. a light blocking drape will enable you to fudge it all a bit, too. you wont be able to tell how much window is covered by each panel. lastly, a drape that doesnt contrast much with the wall will be your best choice. it wont be solid blocks of color floating in different places. but i think thats always the best choice, anyway.

Any drapes you buy will cover a 43 inch wide window, as each panel would only need to be 22 inches. That being said, I'd choose a nice creamy off white to tie in your floors and bedding. I'm not a fan of grommets, especially in bedrooms as I feel they look cheap. You can get some decent looking linen curtains in various lengths at Ikea. Aina and Ritva are nice options.

So here are a few more pics I snapped to show you the ’other‘ windows in my living room- In these other windows; the afternoon sun blares in strong- so I‘m considering some of those shear soft type fabric shades (maybe they’re called Silhouttes but not certain at this time) that you can raise/lower, open/close & tilt as needed- perhaps I’d get one thats remote control operated-I’d have enough space to have these blinds inside mounted in both upper & lower side windows OR another option I can just put one of these Silhouette type blinds over the top side window & over the lower side window put a matching height drape panels to match the front window drapery panels. Perhaps with both the front lower window & the side lower window with matching drapery it would give my living room a more finished look as well as add more interest to living room. Adjoined to my living room is our dining room- you’ll see our french doors with sideboard swing out doors with screens that lead to the backyard. I prefer not to put any window covering over these french doors & side windows since they would partially block our view. We recently wrapped up our downstairs renovation & the window coverings would be the final touch- well maybe a few hanging wall pictures, plants etc in time. (note- we’ve had our front windows installed gosh… maybe 20+ years ago)?!! Thoughts, suggestions appreciated
