Sunday Breakfast...
Comments (14)Made with fresh challah, right out of the bakery oven this morning. Still warm when he brought it home. Copied and pasted your recipe, Jessy! Looks great! I still have cardamom left from the dirt balls. Maybe I should pass this recipe on to our mutual friend, I know she has cardamom :) Tricia, I just posted to your thread, it sounds so good for my family (except the crab, I am allergic, but my family LOVES asparagus!) We had similar breakfast yesterday to Momj47 and Woodie, eggs, sausage and toast, and coffee. At the diner. I love diner breakfasts, and it was nice, just Larry and I! and about ten other neighbors we ran into, LOL! San, can't do early breakfasts here, too, we have breakfasts really late on the weekend! No morning people here. yes, yes was a post on the Nueske's I remember. Haven't seen it here either. Nancy, Eggs Benedict sounds so good! Haven't made that in ages! LOL, Terri, I love your lunch :) we eat leftover for breakfast all the time. Cold chinese! Teresa, I never had chipped beef. How do you make that?...See MoreIt's Supper Time on Sunday!
Comments (17)I've been making various salads all day, Sue. The kids are all coming tomorrow to celebrate DH's 80th birthday. Made broccoli salad, cole slaw, potato salad, three bean salad, ambrosia and pea salad. Since being sick in May, I do not have too much stamina so I had to take many breaks. Tonight we had shrimp pasta salad with 3 bean salad and corn muffins. Still have to make a cake for tomorrow. Just taking a little another break. Glad you have your computer up and running....See MoreSunday Breakfast Time
Comments (9)pudgeder and gardengal, you are so right. This is the same place I mentioned a while back that makes their jalapeno poppers in house. They have a man in the kitchen and all I've ever seen him do is remove the seeds from the peppers. He tosses the peppers into a bucket and when it's full, they prep a batch of poppers, but they don't put them into the fryer until an order is placed. Yum!...See MoreGet Up, It's Time For Breakfast
Comments (42)chisue clarified after your first comment that the studies she saw had to do with coffee that was made using paper filters. In English, a coffee filter is most often is made of paper (and she said explicitly she used a Melita cone, which involves a paper filter). More recently, there are reusable replacements made of fine mesh. I remember seeing a study or two in the past and I think what was thought to be the troublesome part from a health standpoint was material contained in the sediments that could be removed only by using a paper filter. But i don't remember well enough to be certain. I'm not sure what you're thinking of. Your comment above about French press coffee and cafe filtre were not correct....See More
