Leather Taj Mahal granite?
Comments (8)I don't know about Taj Mahal, but I have Green Ocean Leathered and, so far, it has been impervious to anything that has been left on it including red wine and lemon juice. It has been installed about a year, I haven't sealed it and, unless it was sealed by the fabricator when it was still in the shop, it is naked. This may by more a characteristic of the stone than whether it is leathered or not. It would be a good idea to get a sample and do some testing before committing to it. Taj Mahal is a lovely stone. Comments (65)@typeandrun, thank you for the response and feedback. Just out of curiosity, was honing an option when you were making your decision. This gives it the matte look but without the texture. We are going with a dark greenisland and warm white perimeter cabinets and I really like the Taj Mahal. I just want to make sure I get slabs that are more cream than beige. That's the toughest part b/c they look so different in the warehouses than they will in real life....See MoreNeed help finding flooring to go with Taj Mahal counters in kitchen
Comments (14)Thank you to all who responded - this is my first time posting anything, so apologize for my deficiencies here ;). I just uploaded a few photos but the lighting is not great as it is early morning and no natural light is in the room. But my taj mahal is more brown than gray, more warm than cool. In the one photo I included a tile I am considering - it is the lightest one. I am trying to pick up the light parts of my taj but having trouble finding tile that is not too white, gray or yellow. I have considered brick and I like the sample in the photo I included but not sure if brick is too busy and if this brick is too gray. And lastly, the tiled area runs against my living and dining that has wood that I am not ready to replace, thus ruling out wood. Question, if I did a drastically different wood-look tile and ran in opposite direction, could I get away with this against the other wood? Like white-washed wide plank running opposite direction to the floor as pictured here. Your help is so appreciated. I have been looking for new flooring for over 2 years, which is maddening!...See MorePlease help! Will this cabinet go with Taj Mahal
Comments (15)Definitely the Taj Mahal! It has so much depth and beauty compared to the quartz. I wouldn't focus on price as much as the fabricator and installer. Get quality craftsmen to work on a quality stone, and if it's within your budget, don't worry about price. (Easy for me to say, right?) The worst situation is having a beautiful material ruined by poor workmanship just to save a few bucks. You see it all the time here on the DDs, horrible workmanship and very unhappy homeowners....See Moredcsam
