Help w/bathroom paint & tile colors please!
Comments (13)I would find a good wallpaper installer to do a continuation lay of a wallpaper mural. Some have a bit of your bedroom blue with the greens. The effect with the lighter sky at the top will add more vertical height and look cool. Maybe not those particular mural wallpapers ( just quickly grabbed some) but there are some nifty wallpaper murals out there. Google bathroom wallpaper murals or scenery wall murals, A bunch of trees with water and sky would work so well with the floor color, countertop and wood of vanity... greens, blues, a bit of brown, earth with everything getting lighter as it goes up. Small off areas can be painted any color in the mural....See MorePaint color help! Guest bathroom
Comments (9)I have that same stupid tile in my shower! Not attractive but solid as a rock. Try using a curved shower rod to hide it. As for color schemes, find a nice shower curtain that you like and pull a wall color from that. Mud-toned blue, green or lavender would work. FWIW, light colors do tend to wash out in low light rooms so a mid tone might work better. And get some nice coordinating microfiber bath mats to hide the floor. Kilz (I think) makes a primer called Upshot to prime ceilings. It’s an aerosol that sprays straight up. HD has it. You’ll want to use that to prime the ceiling before painting it with any brand of ceiling paint. The ones that start white and turn punk are easier to use so you don’t miss a spot. How handy are you and your husband? That floor could be covered with a nice LVT or stone-look vinyl tile in a couple hours....See MoreAdvice on color scheme in Almond bath tile guest bathroom
Comments (11)Boy, thanks so much both of you for the thoughts and advice! I really do appreciate it. To answer a few questions .. I am trying to do it on a budget but NOT a $500 DIY budget. I think I’d be happy in the 2-3k range. I’m looking to sell in the next couple of years so I don’t want to spend tons (or as much as I would if I were staying) yet want it to look updated . I think double sinks is preferable as it’s really a kids bathroom and most families in this size house have more then one kid. Of course my 17 year old daughter gets it all as my 16 year old son has always been pushed out to our master bathroom lol. It’s not that bad as he spends about 2 minutes in the bathroom. I’d love to make the tub and tile white but figured that’s 1k at least eating into the budget so was trying to see if there was a way to make it look decent . The vinyl tile or to go with it I decided on price point and the fact that luxury vinyl really to me is looking pretty good and not so fake anymore but would love real tile. To rip out old and put new though even though it’s not a big space is going to be more $ then vinyl. I personally love the stencil idea and looked at tons of videos but realistically I don’t have the time myself to do it. That’s a little more on the project....See MorePaint Color Recommendations for Small Guest Bathroom with Limestone
Comments (13)@kandrewspa thank you and I totally understand. I guess I am more looking for tips and suggestions on how to go about picking a color for the space. Your tip of a warm off-white is helpful. I was also guessing there might be some that know the color pallet and could ramble off a few that might work with the limestone. I have no problem trying several colors out to see what works best. I will definitely check out Almond Milk....See MorePeyton Densford
